That was shortly after flying halfway round the world, having played a full international tournament with a day between each game.

Did you see him vs Barca?

He's being made a scapegoat. He's not the world's most natural CB, but he's quality with the ball at his feet, and can make a good tackle.

    I agree with you martin.

However I honestly don't see where he fits in to our team.

He is one of those players that is neither one nor the other.

The difference with Sammy and Ambrose is that the former can score goals to make amends for his poor performances and very rarely is he responsible for making mistakes and allowing the opposition to score.

Ambrose frequently makes mistakes and does not score goals either.

Bollox - so he is. Forgot about that :52:

Back to square one then. Ambrose and Ledley in center of midfield if Broony's not fit :icon_mrgreen:

    :56:

You never know, he may just.

Like I mentioned in my previous post he could turn out to be like Wilson. Wilson was dire last season, but has been really good this year.

I still cant wrap my mind around the fact that there are still fans calling for Lennon to go. Its just incredulous and unfathomable. What the flying fahoozle.

After everything that he has done for us.

Its absolutely irresponsible to be saying things like that.

Passion does not grow on trees, thats why. Before you sack someone, you need to find a better replacement. I want whats best for Celtic.

Im very split when it comes to Lennon, and i would wait till after the Cup Final. Losing that one is sackable imo.

I'm far from someone that agrees with every decision Neil Lennon makes, but if you can't see what he has done for us in his time here, then I don't see much point in trying to make you see otherwise, but i'll give it my best shot.

Lennon took over and was most certainly the cheap option, but with the other names being thrown about, he was also the best choice in my opinion. The team was on it's knees, and we had just experienced one of the most embarassing nights in the clubs history. He has built the current team on the sale of McGeady & Boruc basically, so has virtually spent nothing really. Yes, there have been some horror shows along the way, but from being thumped 4-0 in Paisley, and vanishing off the European map at a speedy rate of knots, to reaching the last 16 of the biggest club competition on the continent in less than 3 years was a minor miracle.

I know we haven't exactly set the heather on fire domestically this season, but ultimately, we have got the job done, and should we go on to lift the Scottish Cup, this must surely be seen as a very successful season. Whether or not we have had very little competiton is an irrelevence, you can only beat what has been put in front of you, and we have done that. But if people like yourself can't see what Neil Lennon has done for us in his time here, it is baffling.

    I didnt say I can't see.

However, I see things very differently. Lower points tally than the Mowbray season, says it all really.

We need a manager that can win away to Ross County.

Let's get Mowbray back then. He'll win away to Ross County but lose the league.

    At least you'll be happy.

Give me a manager that can win away to Spartak and win the domestic league any day.

He will get another season, if he wants one.

I love Neil Lennon, I really do. I think he was exactly what he needed at the time. A good coach, who had the passion and knowledge of the club to take us out of the rough spell we were in.

He rallied the club and united the fans and the players. He gave us trophies, titles and has gone some way to restoring a European reputation.

I just feel that a smarter manager could get more out of these players.

If he leaves, offer Larson the job as a player/manager. Bet he'd still put away 40+ a season lol

So do you see this season as more of a failure than Mowbray's? After all, we are going to finish on less points as you have pointed out. The fact is, had we had more competition in the league this year, we wouldn't have dropped anywhere near the points we have. Now I know that shouldn't be the case, but it's only natural for a team to lose their edge and become complacent when the competition is not as competitive as it is normally.
