Commons looked really fit today....loved the way he was bombing about the place. Not seen him like that for a long time.

Good subs but Lennon had it wrong for 60 minutes beforehand.

If it wasn't for Brown (or perhaps Ki) we could've had Forrest on the right from the start and Stokes on from the start.

If it wasn't for Frazer Forster's heroics we would've been a couple down before the substitutions. So while yes, the changes won the match, it's his own error he was correcting.

    (edit) or what Rossenspeil said!

    Fair point mmmikey.

At least he showed he knew how to correct it though, that's a good sign. Some managers don't have the capacity to do that. Like I said in the OP, I think this in an area that Neil Lennon is improving on. It's encouraging to see that from a guy who is still an inexperienced manager.

I think he was rotating the squad given the league game v Hearts on Wednesday. The thing is, he started Ki for example in an away game where Ki usually doesn't show much interest and ended up subbing him anyway. McCourt should've been on the bench or could even have started today. Ki wasn't interested today and neither was Samaras.

If Lenny wants to rotate his squad he needs to identify the right players to put in at the right times. Ki in away games doesn't look like a good option. It was good that he made the changes early enough and it was thanks to Forster more than anyone that we won today.

Agree with what some have said, he was correcting his error.

He should have started Stokes & Hooper up front, with Samaras continuing to play on the left.

That starting XI was shocking but his subs were spot on.

To be honest mate i think rotating the squad is the last thing we should be doing. He's got a good first team that have won loads of games so why change it? Let them play every game and get to know each other better.

Theres a few factors looking back, the conditions where soooo bad, and that team was strong enough to win but just never got out of first gear. Hooper almost score a wonder goal which may or may not have changed things.. regardless of that though we had an awfy lot of the ball but no killer touch in the final third so overall managing to grab the 3 points was impressive.

There was a time that had loss all over it so i'm very happy tonight. :)

I'm getting * off with all the fannies who seem to think they know better than Neil how to pick the team. We are sitting 4 points clear at the top of the league yet some * seem to think they know better, get a grip and back the manager and the team he selects. In Neil We Trust

He put out the wrong team in the first place, he is going down the same, path again messing the team about when it does not need it, how many times has he played samaras with Stokes or Hooper up front and it doesn't work.

Sticks Broony out on the wing and that doesn't work, changes right/left backs for players who don't play in that position.

Today we were lucky, we got away with it, but Lennon can win us the league but he can also lose us the league, he is stubborn and doesn't learn from his mistakes, he will need to get a grip and if it isn't broken don't fix it:31:

No one is bigger than Celtic, if players are not happy sitting on the bench then they can either play better or they no where the door is, to say we need to play other players just to keep them happy is utter nonsense, last season we changed them team about far too much, that is how we lost the league, a striker goes out and scores a hatrick then go and drop him, where is the sense in that, * help us:87:

His subs were spot on. However, his starting team selection was shocking !

I agree, wants to tinker too much. Cha instead of Mathews was crazy IMO, said he wanted to be more solid, pity he forgot Joe Ledley's no a left back.

But as others have so eloquently put it....top of the league.
