    1) Wanyama
    2) Matthews
    3) Forrest
    4) McGeouch
    5) Struggling to find anyone who will become imo a Top 4 EPL standard player other than those who aren't as young e.g. Ki, Kayal and Izaguirre.

Wanyama could have a big future and possibly matthews, not sure about being world class though, they arent up against much in this league so its hard to say.

I get what you're saying but I watch all levels of football and I know for a fact, at 20, Wanyama could be the sitting midfielder for any side and not look out of place.

He reminds me so much of Marcel Desailly it is frightening.

Aye, its never about how good a players team-mates or level hes playing against is. It's about the individuals themselves.

That Rennes guy M'Vila is supposed to be quality but in that 1 game I seen him there Wanyama dominated him easily. Like Victor was the experienced captain and France international and M'Vila was the young Kenyan who'd barely played 50 games in his puff.

Finally someone putting forrest first. Is he classed as an older or senior player now or is he out of favour with most of you ?

No I know but I just expected him to be more highly regarded.

Especially as he's contributed a lot more than mcgeouch, kidd and rogne.

I think you have to ask who would get in the Barcelona team? Well, no-one except Wanyama if he keeps performing and improving, because Barca don't really have a solid defensive midfielder to keep things tight on those rare occasions they do lose possession.

They have Mascherano but he's either out the team or at centre back these days.

I don't know about "world class" but Forrest should be ripping up the champo league if we get back in it soon, I think he's good enough, and getting tougher all the time. The experience he got this year in the Europa League and all the youths got in the nextgen series will be mightily beneficial to them and make us a true European quality team again.

I agree with almost everyone. There is no-one who will be World Class, but a good few will be great players. Some are being over eager with Rogne and McGeoch. I just haven't seen enough of them to say that.

Forrest, Ki and maybe Matthews could be destined for greater things. Watching a player develop in the SPL is just not the same as anywhere else. Harder to say who can play top level.

Why can't Wanyama be world class? The guy he is a mirror image of, Desailly, played with Nantes until he was 22. That is over a year away for Big Vic.

The Champions League performances will show us all who is genuinely good enough for the top level.

By the way, just to say about the real young lads, the most impressive from what i've seen (in person) is Filip Twardzik, he looks insanely good for his age. I never got to see him come on for his first team debut the other day, but at youth level he is so comfortable, skilfull and assured.

Paul George looks a fantastic player for the future as well (won't talk about him much because I think most people know about him) but Marcus Fraser centre back - could be a future Celtic captain, honestly.

He's very good on the ball, brings it out of defence and keeps it on the floor which I like to see. Fair enough, i've only seen him at young level where he doesn't get pressured as much and has time to bring it out, and he knows his team mates so can play it into the right people and areas in midfield, but he was barking orders at everyone all the time and when he played vs Rennes in the Europa league for 45 minutes we scored 2 and didn't concede 1 :50: Can only be a good sign.

    He's just 17 as well I think.

I have such high hopes for the future honestly, best batch of Celtic players since....... I have no idea when!

depends what you mean by 'young'. Kayal is still young at 23. some have McGeouch and George etc high on their list but they're too young to tell yet having never been tested in the first team.

    if we're going by the under 21 rule;
    1 - Wanyama
    2 - Matthews
    3 - Forrest
    4 - Rogne
    5 - McGeouch

the best attribute of them all is that they all seem to have the right attitude. they know they will develop to a very high standard staying where they are. if they stay injury free and progress as they have been and more importantly stay here, they could become top players.

I love this club. It's awesome when your older players are Ki, Kayal, and Izaguirre. Average age of those 3 is 23.3 years old, I believe.

    1. Forrest- absolutely rapid and has the potential to go the top of the game, great footballing brain and chips in with a few goals
    2. Wanyama- top class defensive mid who didn't look out of place playing against m'vila from rennes and infact outplayed him
    3. Matthews- good attacking fullback and great recovery pace which is essential to that postion
    4. Mcgeough- great in both wide and central mid positions.
    5. Keatings- great speed, great close control as he used to play as a winger, great finisher and can score quite well with his head for a little guy

This drives me up the wall; does it constantly in just about every game. The coaching staff and James need to get it sorted.

Finding it hard to pick between him and Wanyama. I reckon both will end up doing great things. World class for any of our players might be going too far but a number of our youngsters have a great future ahead of them. McGeough I haven't seen enough of but if we're going for those <21...

    1. Forrest
    = Wanyama
    3. Matthews
    4. Rogne
    5. McGeough

i think under 23 is classed as young, so can chuck Ki on that list as well ( i dont, i think he's a a wee bit over-rated )

tempted to throw Marcus Fraser in there, but not seen enough of him and George, Watt, Keatings etc

Forrest done well in the europa cup but iv never seen him play the way he can against the huns yet

    still, the futures bright
