    good goal scoring record, if he's a target man i'd go for him, realistically Diawara and Rhodes are beyond us now as they've scored too many and received too much positive exposure.

    still good to see our scouts are identifying good talent.

    about that you-tube miss: he certainly is not very happy with his role this season. plus, he is said to be a sensitive player and of course he relies on confidence, his own as well as the coach´s (which he does not have).

    however it´s undeniable he scored many and some important goals, especially when the rest of the team was playing like they were crawling waist-deep in dung - he came on and scored with his first touch. that´s his greatest quality i suppose.

    still, his record could have been even better, considering all the easy misses...

    The guy can score.needs a new club that will provide another challenge,so for the price i would take the gamble

    lets face it a £5 mill player is way out our price range,there have been many misses from big time strikers,i would not look into that too much remember £50 mill Torres a few months ago and our very own Stokesy

    get him in,will be better than the "who watched him play and when was his trial Bangura"

    source is a forum-post by a user who is known to be close to club officials of Rapid. it was an answer to the Celtic-Rumors, but he didn´t actually mention with whom Rapid is in talks with about Salihi (there have been several rumors in the past months about interest from english and ukranian clubs).

    anyway, rapid is obviously very willing to let him go in january.

    If he's going for £500k, there is no reason why the boat can't be pushed out on a top CB - e.g. Juhasz.

    Mathias Jørgensen's contract is up in the Summer. really hope if he was available for a cut price of under £2.5m, we would at least throw our name into the hat having not spent a lot on a striker - that's if we do land Salihi.

    going by what i read and see from the vid's, is he what we need?? our squad is bursting then add all the youths we have creeping into contention. we must stop thinking as a club to think 'he's a good price, aye lets buy him' we keep doing it, murphys, rasumssens, etc. we have got the making of a good team and any player that comes in now must be a first 11 player. with a forward player we should be looking to bring someone in that has skill and is inventive and bridge that bit from middle to front which lacks sometimes. lubo/naka/di canio sort or presence up front to set up and score pierre/viduka sort???
