Obviously Dalglish was a great player for us, but what are your feelings about him?

He held a scouting job with the huns before he was the Newcastle manager and Iv also read huns saying he played a reserve/charity/something like that game for the scum sometime around 1990.

We all know he grew up a hun, that isnt an issue, but do these two things taint his legacy at Celtic in your opinion?

Not a true legend, but certainly not a 'turncoat' or anything like that.

Celtic Legend, even more so that in his few weeks as a scout there all they signed was Seb Rozenthal for £4million who played about 10 games over 3/4 years :notworthy :notworthy

Legend status should not be decided by what someone did at another club, simply what they did at ours. Dalglish is a legend at Celtic.

    Not a true Legend?

He won 4 titles, 2 as a captain I think about 6 cups, actually captained us to a double and almost treble he scored in the losing cup final. Was a hunskelper who scored like 10 goals against the huns and also won a cup in a short stint as manager not to mention he left for the record british fee which would have been like Larsson captaining us and being sold for like £35million in modern times.

A Celtic great and a Liverpool legend. I dont hold him in the same regard as some, but no doubt he was a fantastic player for us.

Not a turncoat, Im sure he's not the first player to have an allegiance to the huns and play for us. Wont be the last either Im sure.

First I've heard about him playing a charity game. Is there any actual evidence of this?

Even if he did, what's the big deal? Patsy Gallacher did the same thing, but doesn't make him any less a Celtic legend. (then again, Gallacher reportedly removed the shirt at the end of the game to reveal he had been wearing the Hoops on underneath!).

After the debacle of John Barnes, I remember him taking the Scottish press to task & held a press conference in the Gallowgate, so that Celtic fans could hear directly what he was saying, not how it was being 'twisted' by the 'meeja'.

Can't believe anyone would be so petty, to hold their participation in a charity game against someone. Fair dinkum. Get a grip.
