Looking for a bit of info of anyone who knows.

where is the best place to book, say 10 lessons to see how it goes. had lessons years ago but need to drive for my work now. typing in google never really worked and the sites i went on weren't very clear, anyone done this recently or know the best place to go?

    cheers.

My daughter recently passed with Able.

Is there anyone you know who could take you out in the Arnold Clark dual control learner cars. £9 an hour (minimum 2 hours) and 2 hours for the price of 1 if you've got a young Scot card. plus £5 excess waver.

I've been taking lessons for a good while now. I pay for blocks of 10 with a local instructor. Maybe you should just ask around or look in the yellow pages. Local is good.

Your best option imo is to take an intesive course over 4 days my son did this recently in Blackpool it works out equivalent to around 20 lessons over 3 days with you sitting your test on 4th including digs with meals it worked out about £450 which is not too bad if you can afford it and can get the time off to do it. :50:

Ritchies in Springburn do the intensive week long course without the need for the overnight stays as do most of the driving instructers. Google intensive driving lessons in Glasgow.

Thing to watch when going out on the dual control with your GF is that there's not a minimum age for the qualified driver and also that you dont pick up on any bad driving habits she may have. l done it with my daughter as an extra to her driving lessons.

If you need a driving licence urgently then definitely consider the intensive course option. It sounds expensive but can be much cheaper in the long run and obviously you get the chance to sit your test much faster.

If possible and you know someone who is insured to take you out in their car for extra experience and practice then do that also. But if possible try and gain the practice using the same type of car you are going to be taking the test in.

Even a local instructor may be able to fit you in with an intensive course though it may be harder for them to get you a test arranged as fast as the likes of Ritchies can.

I can get you a good rate for a block of 10. A good friend of mine runs the M77 driving school out of Thornliebank in the south side and he's a good tim. Let me know if you want a contact number.
