He would be great for a team that are willing to play someone in the 'hole' and let him play in a completely free role. They will benefit hugely from that and I can see him being a success at a club willing to do that down south, in the championship. He's only ever going to be a sub here.

Not good enough to get in our midfield, I like him but it's his time to move on now IMO

I cant see much of a future for the guy at celtic - certainly not as a first team regular. He might just be happy to play a bit part role for a team like celtic rather than first teaming at a smaller club, but if he ever wants to improve, I dont think it will be at celtic to be honest.

He is cheap, and he gets the fans going so happy to see him stay, but wouldnt have anything against him at all if he wanted to go either

Paddy is a class act but he canny do it week in week out. Frequently injured as well. Love him to bits but we need to let some players go and I am afraid Paddy will probably be one of them.

Hate to say it but it wouldn't suprise me if he is off in January. Although he wasnt brought on today because we wasn't needed.

I really hope he doesn't go, he's an excellent player to have in the squad.

:56: oh right it must be true then.

I feel for the people who believe these stupid rumours, If this was at all the case he would have been kicked out of Celtic ages ago.

It's not a fitness issue. The problem is apparently that he runs some sort of private army.

    That's what I've heard anyway. :50:

He definitely deserves more time he's better than most who play week in week out

He needs a free role, he can't be afforded that at Celtic in this League.

If I was him I'd go to Blackpool or somewhere, where they'd give him that role & build a team around him.

Just think that we've got too many midfielders who are better in their all round play than Paddy, Paddy is a luxury to us - hence why he doesn't get too much game time.

I can remember last season he started and finished a few games in a row and was chasing back in the last minutes winning possesion back and was thinking he seemed the fittest player on the park ,yeh i was surprised as well ,whatever it is it baffles me why his talent cant find a way.into our side when we are constantly up against 2 banks of 4 30 yrds out ,when you need a player to run at the opposition and get into the box it creates panic and defenders dont want to tackle you ,he is a master at this .

Always thought the same as you on this one Smithy, but now I am kinda so-so about losing wee Paddy permanently. There is no doubt about the wee man's incredible talent, only problem is his lack of consistency. I'm now of the opinion, that we should retain wee Paddy, but only on a very much reduced weekly wage. On his game, he's a wee belter of a player, off his game, the teams a man short.

a would like paddy to stay because he can be the game changer you need when its 0-0 with 30 mins to go and defenders are tired but it would be to his detriment if he stayed
