The Joe Ledley Thread

Absolutely love Ledley.

Joe Joe, Super Joe.

 

Love Joe Ledley! You can tell playing for Celtic means so much to him, and when he pulls on the hoops he gives nothing less than 110% I'd have him in my team every day of the week. He's particularly crucial for us against the huns.

 

Well, might go against the grain here but i am still to be entirely convinced by Ledley, i think he is a fine player but he is far too conservative.

If he let it out a bit more, be a bit more adventurous i feel we would see Ledley go to another level.

I can see where you're coming from, but i disagree with you.

If we consider that Lennon's strongest Celtic midfield includes Ledley, Brown, and Kayal. Which i think is fair, no? Ledley's style of play is actually a necessity in terms of the balance and fluidity. You could say that he's always been like that, but i think Ledley is an intelligent fella. Brown is usually doing his 'Superman' routine, minus the 'Super' bit. Kayal is usually charging around and breaking up the play. Both have their merits, no doubt, but Ledley's ability to just quickly move the ball with control and pass is absolutely vital.

His movement is so underrated as well. You never see him standing still. He's one of the few players we have that follow's his pass. You could argue that's what Ki does when he plays, but i think Ki has a tendency to be a bit more ambitious. When it's working then it's great, but when his 'radar' is a bit askew
then it loses it's effectiveness.

Plus, when Sammie plays wide left. I feel so much more secure when i know Joe is there to fill in should the left back also decide to venture forward.

most underrated and most taken for granted player at the club right now. suberb player!!!

 

Most complete player at the club, in my opinion.

He's so reliable and always gives 100% too, love Ledley.

 

Really didn't see what people saw in him at first, but having seen him in the flesh for 90 minutes more regularly this season - he's * brilliant. I don't think i've ever seen him give the ball away, certainly not as frequently as Ki, Mulgrew or Broony, and he's so comfortable and assured on the ball.

Probably the most consistent hoop of the last 2 seasons, I was gutted when he went off on a stretcher a few games ago, think that was the Atletico match, but good to see him back, great thing is he can play just as well left back, left mid or centre mid.

 

Best player at the club imo and should be captain. Hopefully for years to come when we give him a new, longer contract.

Class act, when he's fit he deserves his place in our first eleven.

 

He's one of our best players. One of the first names on the team-sheet, for me. Can't wait until we have him and everyone back fit.

 

The only player in the team that knows exactly what to say in an interview without putting pressure on our team or giving the huns a team talk.
