    Wonder what new formation fergie will implement to accomadate all this attacking talent, Rooney, RVP, and kagawa are pretty much guaranteed to be 1st choice and nani's too good to be a bit part player.

    Right decision in the end though, reached another CL final and won the league that season, none of that wouldve been possible without rooney. The implications would have been far worse on the pitch and off it due to the millions utd wouldve lost by letting the worlds 3rd most marketable player go, SAF done whats best for the club at the end of the day.

    He has been on the front cover of Fifa since 2006 and has deals with Nike, Nokia, Ford, Asda and Coca Cola. Also signed a book deal worth £5m when he was 20 so it would be fair to say that Rooney is very marketable
