Their fans have turned into arrogant wanks!

Just seen one on SSN being interviewed about the Porto game "Who are they? they're not going to beat the City" :56:

Porto sitting their with 2 European Cups in their Trophy room and a daft City fan saying who are they as if they are a nobody diddy team :54:

They are a prime example of everything that is wrong with Modern Football, apart from David Silva and Sergio Aguero.

Had a look at their thread, saw their uneducated and deluded comments, smiled and then came here just to say...

    Dear Manchester City supporters,

How many European Cups have you won? Scratch that actually. How many European finals have you reached in your history?

    Yours sincerely,

A supporter of one of the most famous clubs in the world and the first British team to win the European Cup.

Even if they do win the league this season, it's not going to be as sweet as it ought to be. They'll have won it by having the biggest pockets, nothing more. The only player remaining from their team pre-takeover is Micah Richards.

I'll be more impressed when/if they start producing decent Academy players.

Bullshit. They've always had a great academy.

Ryan Giggs, Micah Richards, Stephen Ireland, Richard Dunne, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Joey Barton, Daniel Sturridge, Michael Johnson, Kasper Schmeichel, Nedum Onouha, etc

Mentioning players like Giggs and Ireland (worst pro ever in Britain) is laughable. Wright-Phillips and Barton are truly disappointing players, as well. Both could have been so much better. You have to go back to their introduction into the game to wonder why this might be.

I'll grant them Richard Dunne, though. True legend. Ireland owes them one.

How is it laughable? How are Wright-Phillips and Barton disappointing? For me to produce that amount of good prem players is a good academy and you'd have to be an idiot to criticise it.

Also you ignoring the other players I mentioned?

Richard Dunne didn't come through their academy

Forgot Dunne was at Everton first. Don't know why you mentioned him, then.

    The others aren't worth discussion.

OK i look like a tool now lol. Didn't mean to mention him there.

You openly criticised the academy when it's infact probably been one of the best in the UK.

Only academy that's been better has been Ushiteds. Chelsea one is *, arsenal one is good obviously, liverpool one has been good etc

Still went through the youth setup at city but. Was about 13 or 14 when he joined their academy i'm sure.

    anyway to lisbonlion67:

    Hart
    Richards Onouha Boyota Etuhu
    Barton Ireland Whelan Giggs
    Wright-Phillips
    Sturridge

    Half decent EPL side there.

West Ham's is the best in the country. Glen Johnson, Ferdinand, Upson, Carrick, Lampard, Cole, Defoe, etc.
