No because the ball didnt go back the other way. It should have been offside but it wasnt a clear one and you can accept that as it was also poor defending but had the flag gone up it would have been a correct decision.

You think Di Natale is onside when the ball is crossed?

Brown hating is the in thing, mate. He didn't do much tonight, ive pointed him out as a poorer performer - he made a couple runs, played a few basic forward balls and made a * of one. But apparently he was 'atrocious' etc. People can't see past their hate for him.

Kayal on the other hand looked disinterested and did nothing. But everyone is a Kayal fan boy so although hes not being praised, his performance is being largely ignored.

Exactly what I was expecting, probably the best away result for Celtic in years.

Decent enough, considering the amount of injuries.

Just shows that we need to cut the squad of it's baggage & add a few quality signings.

Not that far off a good team.

    Brown out - Ledley in
    Cha out - Matthews in

    We would have been through.

Disappointed by the result but the Bhoys gave it a good go and overall i've enjoyed watching this group section. The team should take a lot of confidence out of it and kick on and get this league won.

Agreed, another good performance. Just heard a bit of BBC Radio Scotland and all they mentioned was how Di Natalie could have had a double hat-rick tonight.

Given the quality of the opponent this is another good result and as mentioned we have far from disgraced ourselves in the Europa League.

Heard all the beasties given it no points in Europe, done more in Europe than they have and at least attempted to play some football into the bargain.

The officials were really bad tonight. I'm not using that as an excuse for us not getting through (I've already said in an earlier post that I'm happy with the way we played and I feel that the end result was a fair one), but failing to notice the difference between Cha and Brown just beggars belief. One of them is Korean and the other is Scottish. * sake.

And it did look like one of their players handled the ball in the box at the end, but if they can't tell the difference between two players because they are both bald and wearing the same strip, what hope do we have of getting a penalty?

    I'm not picky.
Di Natale was in an offside position when the ball was crossed but he was rightly not flagged because he wasn't "active". When the ball came to him he was onside.

He was atrocious. It's nothing to do with hate for Brown, he just was. He's had good games in the past but at least Kayal can pick out a pass.

With the right signings, we have the makings of a fine side.

    Let the people sing,

I also agree with you here - but if i was to sacrafice a midfielder for a striker it's just got to be brown based on tonights performance. Captains are meant to lead by example, but he was alot worse than kayal tonight. Yet he stayed on the park purely because of that armband he probably shouldn't have. Wrong decision in my opinion, Lennon seems to ignore Brown no matter how bad he plays, just because he's captain.

I'm not a big brown hater, but i just think tonight was the worst i seen him play in quite a while.

We are a good team already. I think the fact we went to Udine and played against their full strength team, whilst missing several key players of our own, and got a very respectable result in a difficult venue, proves that we are more than capable of competing at a higher level than we currently are, domestically.

How can he not be active when he's standing right in front of goal and indeed scores with the next touch of the ball? That's ludicrous.

The "inactive" rule is designed to cover guys running back onside on the other side of the park, not a guy right on the shoulder of the defender who immediately scores.

Nobody was atrocious tonight, I cant believe clowns on here actually watch football at times. :56:

Udinese are a better team than us, have won 9 home League games in a row in Italy, we went there to make it hard for them and give us a chance and did that. Brown started his first game in what 10-12 weeks or something and covered Armero who is one of Udineses best players and probably the fastest player in Italy superbly for 90 minutes. We done very well tonight not only to avoid defeat but to even come away saying we could or should have won if not for a couple of things that didnt go our way.

This wasnt Kilmarnock we were playing.
