    when i first heard this morning i as utterly shocked wondering how the * a guy as fit as speed could die so young.

    when i heard the rumours it was suicide it was even more shocking. it just goes to show you that however good things look from the outside, inside we never truly know whats going on in our fellow human beings minds.

    i lost my best mate to suicide 2 years ago so i know the shock and hurt it causes for friends and family alike. i can only hope that one day his family can come to terms with this tragic loss. RIP Speedo, you are a legend :54:

    This is mental and such a shock. With a wife and two kids, great success and a job with Wales he clearly loved, what could have drove him to this horrible outcome. * rest his soul, may he find the peace he was searching for.

    I listened to the FiveLive 606 show tonight with Darren Fletcher & Robbie Savage.

    Very sad indeed btw and Savage broke down a few times and couldnt speak at first as the show open with `The Land of my Fathers`

    Dan Walker spoke on it too and was with him yesterday during and after Football Focus.

    So Sad

    I feel sorry for Robbie Savage aswell. The day that one of his best friends kills himself and he's getting pressured into doing all of these television and radio appearances.

    I'm willing to bet he just wants some time to himself to reflect on his memories and friendship with Gary and not constantly be under the spotlight.

    Tragic situation all round.
