You cannot be serious (McEnroe) .........if you are Real or Barca the above is true as for the rest of the mortal teams WINGERS MUST TRACK BACK and cover mistakes ...other wise it's lazy play unless under instuction

    Just cant get enough
Today in the first half he looked like he thought all he had to do was turn up but in the second he was a completely different player. Hopefully lennon put a rocket up his * at half time.

Also noticed he's starting to mature quite well defensively, Got back and tracked runners at vital times during the game.

So he pushed the boundaries sometimes, so did many of the mercurial geniuses throughout time.

His off field problems had nothing to do with his lack of caps.

I think you will find by the wee mans own admission that his off field antics played a big part in his lack of caps .....if you know your history :50:

A fullback has only himself to blame if he gets beat, doesn't matter who lost the ball. I never said he didn't have to play defense i was simply responding to a poster who said that if our fullbacks get beat after Forrest loses the ball it is his fault, thats just dumb imo.

Yea the hands out thing annoys me sometimes as well but thats not what i thought you were talking about. In my book that would be called lack of work rate or tracking back. At least in my opinion when someone says you shat out of a challenge it means you thought the challenge looked a bit dicey and pussied out.

Regardless comparing forrest to burchill or any of the other players you mentioned is ridiculous because forrest has been our best player so far this season and i dont think the same could ever be said of burchill. At this point i think its fair to say that forrest has crossed the threshold from good prospect to good first team player and will only be improving.

I'm getting a wee bit annoyed at your condescending attitude.

Jinky talks a lot about his treatment at the hands of "Scotland" fans, and the selection process that was in the hands of the less than honest SFA rather than the manager, who bowed to pressure from the majority hun support to pick their favourite Henderson.

Seems like I do know my history :50:

No a fullback doesn't have only himself to blame if he gets beat, sometimes it's the cover and support that's around him. If by lack of application our full backs get caught two on one with the opposition team and gets beat because he cannot cover both of him that is the fault of the supporting player.

Seems to me that somebody else needs to do a wee bitty more research into the history of our greatest player ever.

    Me?

I know Jinky could be his own worst enemy at times, but the majority of his caps he missed came from less than honest decisions.

hes a not bad wee player but a McGeady he isnt (who he basis himself on in his own words) all to often recently he disappears in matches and his tracking back is absolutely woeful. He's not the full package yet and i wish Lennon would give him a kick up the * when he flails his arms about looking for a freekick instead of playing to the whistle and fighting for the ball back he really needs to cut that * out.

    This.

If he starts doing that, like he did today then he can be the full package.
