[Help] HDMI cable to T.V.

    i know my laptop is capable because i have done it before. but wen i try to click on the hdmi output to change the output from the laptop screen to the tv nothing happens. its like it wont open. is there a way to fix that? really doing my head in

    I just plug my hdmi in and away it goes. Didn't have to click anything.

    I know when i was setting up my pc to tv connection i had to rename the hdmi channel so it would pick the pc up.

    Use the function button (fn) and one of the number buttons that has the display icon on it

    just tried all the buttons along the top etc n nuthin. really doin my * head in. went onto the toshiba website and tried un installing then re installing the drivers but now its sayin its no supported and other * which i dont understand as i used to have it playing through the tv all the time. on the verge of buying a new laptop altogether.

    I own a toshiba laptop too - connect it up and then select the HDMI input on your tv. If its still blank then like the lad above said you need to use the function Fn key.

    On my Toshiba laptop Display is F5 so hold down Fn + F5 try do this a couple of times because there are usually a few display modes (Screen Expansion, etc) this should do the trick right enough so let us know how you get on.

    I finally lost the rag with it. Phoned some virgin media thing and they sort my computer remotely. Solved it ... Cost 85 quid. But i do get cover etc with that free technical help with any electronics in the house. Still 85 quid..

    But cheers for the feedback lads ! Much appreciated ! HH

    Go to control Panel> devices and ur tv should be there double click and set to default, then check display settings to see if its on correct res
