Nah in all seriousness their whole club is a reaction to our mate just don't listen to them, They distort the facts to make us look bad and forget any details witch might stop that from happening. As lenny said "we as a club have nothing to reproach ourselves for" and they just can't handle that.

They find it hilarious that one of their players was done for being sectarian and have no problem with it, Yet when our manager waves at them and puts his hands to his ears when they're shouting abuse they think it's horrendous and he should be done for trying to incite a riot:56:

It's the context of it all, isn't it?

The Huns usually say it accompanied with a slanderous swear word, whereas we sing it in praise of someone. I know it's pretty ambiguous but that's my take on it.

It's like me calling my pal a Hun; he's not offended at all, if I called him a Hun *, he'd be * off and rightly so.

Spot on. My friends wrote "* *" on my pen case. They didn't mean anything bad, they were just joking with me when we lost the title in 2005. I added Proud to be...* *. There is nothing to do with religion.thailandceltic explained that very well. "*" comes from Irish "Fianna".

Correct. I am not Catholic, but I am still a * * in Rangers' fans eyes.:56:

    A * is not a catholic,

this is the problem, Rangers fans think it is, and use it as a derogatory term for a catholic.

This is not what it is, and we know that.

    It's all about context.

They have every intent in trying to offend us with the word, i myself don't get offended by any word, as i can rise above it.

spurs sing Yid Army why cant we sing PMFA? Racial slurs often get adopted as terms of endearment by the group they are aimed at.

100% agreed. FFS the * Brotherhood was full of protestants as well as catholics and non believers so how the * can it be sectarian. As posted on countless occasions on here the word * is old Erse(Irish) for Warrior.
So because the huns call US * * due to their outright ignorance of the word, then we suddenly become sectarian when we use it ourselves. What a load of *

Already been said but the way I see it is that it's the same as your Tupac, Biggie, Jay-Z etc saying "*" when rapping about their black friends.

Two issues I have with the OP:
    1) the huns weren't punished for using the word '*', much as they'd like to claim so. It was for singing about killing fenians, being up to their knees in their blood. Besides, contrary to what they may claim the 'Billy boys' does not refer to King William, but to a Protestant gang of the same name, famed for killing Catholics. So regardless of the lyrics, the song is sectarian anyway.
    2) It's 'the fenians' who are singing the song in our case. A black man wouldn't be accused of racism for using the word 'n****r', but for a white man to use it it's unacceptable.

You're sure spending a lot of time posting in here and reading through it, for something that's so "irrelevant".

Clearly not considering the thread you're posting in :56:

And Celtic's been trying to kick the Huns bigotry out of Scottish Football for years, clearly they think there is some relevance :50:
