Brown can go for free in the summer if he doesnt sign a new contract. We could sell him in January, but it would be for peanuts.

    More mismanagement from the board.

Gave Sammy a new deal last January, but forgot to give Wilson and Brown one.

Firstly its amusing to notice certain hypocritical posters who don't think Ki is that good yet they seem to think we can get lots of cash for him, tell me how that one works out?

Secondly its doubtful the money would get completely reinvested on just 1 or 2 players, probably go on 4/5 which is the way celtic have operated recently.

Thirdly i knew exactly who had posted this before i even looked at who did, and that for me tells its own story, KEEP.

Sell for atleast 8m and bring in a player to replace him who is more suited to the rough spl.if we do get that kind of money he could easily be replaced and our shity centre halves sorted out.what type of player is mcgeough,we could do with a good youngster as back up to Ledley as wanyama looks like great cover for kayal

He is suited for a team like Arsenal (He wouldn't be good enough to start for them but you catch my drift).
A team that doesnt use players like scott parker, steven gerrard, scott brown, beram kayal etc etc. Right now, Wanyama Kayal and Ledley are all better options than Ki as we need people who will track back and put their head where it hurts.

dont understand why its ki that gets this to be honest has turned up for more games this season than a few of our meant to be top players ie kayal and dont get me wrong i love kayal but the fact is till the last 2 games he has been rotten where ki hasent also kayal has also made noises about playing at the higher level so why is ki been singled out a really dont get some of the comments

No chance. If I could swap Broony's injured ankle for one of Ki's healthy ones right now I'd do it.

Plenty of players ahead of Ki if we want to sell players. People like to make little of the money Ki makes for us in the Asian market but take this profit off KI's wages and he costs is very little if anything on wages. Also Ki has the potential to increase greatly in value if we keep him.

Ki is also our top scoring midfielder this season. The problem for us is that our defence is so weak we need two CMs to protect them. I would rather we strengthen our defence and give Ki a chance to shine.

Thats like replacing a chicken for the egg marky, why get a short term fix and throw away short term and long term gain, ludicrous.

Only reason i'd want Ki sold is because Lennon persists in starting him when he's fit. With him gone it'd mean Lennon would play our strongest midfield, rather than playing our most important player in ledley out position to accomodate ki.

Not really mate. I think Scott Brown makes a more regular contribution to the team than Ki does. Especially away from home.

Ki has more ability in his little toe than Broon does in both feet!

I like both and would sacrifice either to fix our woes at the back.

I think we should keep him as (others have said) he's like a commodity and his stock is only going to rise. He's talented enough to deserve a place in our team more often than not, so it's a double win.

However, if we received a good bid that would put us in a position to add a couple of strong defenders to the squad, I'd accept it.

That's crazy. Four goals and four assists this season from midfield, Brown would be happy with they statistics if he started every game for the full season. Brown's work-rate is the only thing I would take from his game and add it to Ki's, I honestly think Ki is better in every other department.

    All about opinions though.

I think Brown has mastered the art of making it look like he contributes more to a game than he actually does and considering Ki is still learning and will improve even further.

The post isnt about his ability, its about sell or keep. No-one is arguing how good he is, though his consistency can be questioned.

We should consider selling him when we can get a top price for him. He will want to play in the EPL, that is a certainty. I dont know how long he has to go on his contract, probably another 2 seasons. I will be surprised if he signs another one for us, unless it is vastly improved. Especially as he knows their have been clubs down south sniffing around.

If we dont sell in Jan or summer, we could end up with a situation that Brown has left us in. Where he could potentially walk for free.

In the case we also have option to extend his contract. He is on a ludicrously low wage so increasing this should not be a problem as he in return makes us money in Asia.

If he will not sign then maybe we should sell him.

If he has EPL clubs looking at him, what do you think his agent will do?
