Doing it for Southampton & doing it for Celtic are completely different.

If he comes back & gets a run of games, whilst he's fit - then I hope he would shut his * face...if he was good or not.

Hopefully he would be good if given a run whist fit, although not convinced - he had a whole pre-season did he not?

He wasn't given a fair chance here at all.

I think it would be worth getting him back in January and seeing if he can actually stay fit for us. The way I see it is the league is probably gone now anyway, we have numerous duds at the back so why not give him a fair go, the rest have had their chance.

come on lets be a bit realistic. its the english championship lads. yes i agree, he arrived with us, shouted his mouth off to try and get the fans onside, got inhured, never got any form or run of games. i would let him play the rest of the season with southampton and see how he does. if they get promoted and he has played a major part in that, get him back. or sell him and re-invest the money.

Mind you you often hear that about ex-SPL players in the championship.

He has been one of the best players in the Championship this year. I still dont think he did anything wrong whilst at Celtic, the lad was just never given a chance. Lennon obviously see's him as Mowbrays player still which is a disgrace

not given enough time on the park for us, but as always get people saying not good enough cause he has a couple of poor games he has been one of southamptons better players so far this season yet we are screaming out for defenders here lennon should have given him a fair chance during pre season

No, but saw also a lot of nightmares this season. !!!!!
And he was not the only one in Utrecht that played bad. There was a bad team and a very bad coach who played a player that was already sold the next day.It is not the game against Utrecht you blame him, it is again a wrongly explained interview that you all blame him for. Unbeleavable but true.
After that he never had a change again. Neil allready passed him befor the season even started......
Hope he is still going to be strong in Southampton so that he can make something of his carreer....

I'm excited for his return to be honest, he's playing for the top team in the championship which is twice the league ours is at the moment in my opinion.

He's far too slow, although I havent seen him lately but he may only have been that slow as he had no pre season when he first signed I dont think who knows. Ive written him off already but if he's not as slow as Davie Weir nowadays then he might be ok.

To me this is continuously proving my point that the championship isn't actually as good as people think it is, ive seen quite a number of games this season ranging from title contenders to relegation candidates and apart from 3/4 teams it is dire.

Its a bit like celtic actually with teams paying over the odds for frankly average players. The league is exciting because none of the teams are standouts, they all have roughly the same level of players, some have deeper squads.

So i wouldn't take doing well in the championship as evidence he can do it at celtic, pressure playing for southampton and pressure playing for celtic is in another universe frankly and no disrespect to southampton.

Southampton have conceded 14 goals in 14 games. Celtic 12 in 12 games.
Dont know what that tells us, but there you are.

the championship isn't spectacular but what you've got is basically 6 or so teams that are as good if not better than celtic or rangers, this phenomenom has came about because of the huge amount of money that there is down there
