Throughout the years Celtic have always been famous for having great strikers. The likes of Nicholas, McAvennie, Judas, McLair, Walker, Van Hooijdonk, Cadete, Larsson, Sutton, Hartson. We have always managed to pull one out the hat and replaced one with another, but where is the next one coming from. Nobody filling the role at the moment shows any signs of being in the class as those mentioned. It is a worrying time on the striker front and hopefully come the summer we have a top drawer goalscorer at the club.

Good point mate, we are shockingly thin on quality up front, and it's not like us at all. I think it will change this summer tho as u suggested, the 'blue chip' player we were promised will surely be a quality striker, hopefully one that can slot into that list of yours in years to come :50::shamrock:

Well JVOH could become 1 of those players if he stays free of injurys but on a regular basis we have no1 up front who is quailty
So we should be gettin some1 who can be a great striker for us in the summer

we lacking of offensive power. I wondering about more firepower, Riordan, JVOH, Magic and Naka in the mid like this :

    ------------------------Boruc----------------------
    ---------------- Pressley - McManus -------------
    Wilson-------------------------------------Naylor
    ------ Nakamura ------ Gravesen----------------
    Riordan -------------------------------- McGeady
    ---------------------Żurawski---------------------
    ---------------------Hesselink---------------------

    (found on CelticPoland)

VOH should come good, if we see the real him if he stays fit. beattie is not good enough in my opinion. riordan, not seen enough of him, since he has not been played much. zurawski, constantly injured. miller....need i say more?

we need a quality, fast striker, who preferably can score goals. like to see keane at celtic park, but i doubt it.

would swap wilson with Telfer as telfer would offer more support to Naka and Deek

    I agree
Telfer is the better option for the run in
I am not convinced on Wilson at all, he still looks like a rabbit
    caught in the headlights

I would sign Steven Whittaker for right back next year, if we are
serious about making a big impact in the Champions League again

I would also replace Zurawaski with Riordan up front, and shove
Hartley in with the Gravedigger in the middle of the park.

That is the team I would start with against Dundee United on Sunday

Its a vital game for us, that we must win IMO to restore confidence, even
a draw would be a blow, especially if the Huns keep winning.

Dundee United are * hot just now, they gubbed Hearts 4-0 at Tynecastle
last week, can't remember any other team putting four past Hearts and Gordon at Tynecastle this year.

I don't see what Whittaker is going to do for us that Wilson isn't when he's completely free of injury. If Whittaker was better than Wilson we would have bought him instead when we did, your heads in the clouds if you think Steven Whittaker is going to do us a turn in Europe.

I think now that Wilson has maybe had a chance of a couple of days to get his fitness up, i'd play him against Dundee Utd. The bhoys different class on his day, it's a shame he's not had the best of luck this season.

Riordan yes, Grav/Hartley yes (Captain Marvel is looking quite jaded)
