mcmanus is a very poor football player, and would in no way improve celtic's defensive problems in my opinion. in fact, they would be even worse.

 

Goes to show how bad our defence is at the moment that people would even consider this an improvement

 

should never have left imo , got too much grief simply because he was handed the captaincy , id bring him back in a heart beat , committed to the cause everytime he wore the hoops imo

 

Despite the moaning and griping about him and Heid before they left they were still better than most of what we have if we're honest

 

Mick's got loads of heart which i admire but it all comes down to ability and i'm afraid he's lacking in some of the aspects of that.
He may be an improvement in what we've got....who know's, a useful stop gap until we find the right man but not for me,he's had his stint in Paradise.

 

Get a grip he is pure dross.... and worse than we have at present.

Can still remember that "Boot" he gave the hearts player cos he couldnt tackle him cringeworthy.

Bring back Caldwell & McManus ??? Biggest laugh you get on a saturday night watching Gary "Am Franz beckenbauer" Caldwell scoring yet another own goal or generally just being a pish defender.

The person we should be looking at is JOHN PARK the Chief scout - How the * can that other mob continually by decent defenders yet that * shambles of our defence has NEVER been sorted in nearly 6 years. how many * forwards and midfielders do we need.

We should be looking at much better players not players who are okay.

No way would i want him back as much as i liked the guy when he was a hoops player, once they leave that should it game over, they had there chance and there is no point in going backwards. Board need to get a grip and spend decent cash.

He was and is absolutely terrible.

Rogne, Maj, Mulgrew and Wilson are miles ahead of him.

We've got 3 decent centre halfs already- mulgrew, wanyama and hoiveld
Our only decent right centre half is rogne as the durys still out on k. Wilson.
So its a no for me... Maybe if circustances were different i'd consider it!

 

lol some of the comments on here are ridiculous! McManus was far from awful! Was he Maldini? Far from it. But he was a gOOd CB, gOOd leader and a winner.

No -I would rather have Michelle McManus- Her gut put on the goal line would stop more goals going in than brining back SM!

 

Wouldn't have him back but he was decent while he was here.
