Hopefully he starts playing for the shirt again.

Can't believe he's betting a pay rise at this moment in time.

Play * with no passion and get a pay rise... Oh the joys of being a footballer, absolutely farcical.

If anything it should be wages docked and confined to the bench, not a fricken bumper new deal.

He should be made to earn himself a new deal. Shocking from Celtic.

To quote Big Jock, "My proudest moment? Every Friday morning when I look at the board at Celtic Park and see my name on the team sheet for tomorrow’s game."

Time to look like you give a *, Beram.

Can't believe how fellow celtic fans are * themselves because of a very poor performance and some wild rumours and theories.

You should have seen the look on a wee wummin's face when I said, too loudly, '* me gently' after reading a backpage of a rag in a shop this morning.

I think there are far too many questions and far too few answers at CP just now. I just don't know what to make of it all. We just seem to be drifting....there doesn't seem to any credible leadership anywhere at the club.

I agree with this. Playing well he is our best midfielder. Something has happened and he isnt happy, but we cant bite our nose off in this case. If it can be resolved and we can get him back playing again then we need to sort it.

10 pts behind and no title in 3 seasons. We need our best options.

Agreed. It has went way too far now, as if he was intentionally trying to get sent off

He had the wrong attitude from the start and he played *, end of story. * ridiculous accusations being thrown at him.

You don't become public enemy number 1 because of 1 game.

He was acting out at the end of the summer, as well. His recent petulance is no surprise. He's a smashing player, but needs to stand up and give a good showing of himself.

I said to my mate after the Hearts debacle that it confirmed my fear over Kayal. I believed from the beginning that he was going to be an outstanding player, but his fiery attitude on the park might bring problems off it.

Some very strong stuff said against him here, and I'm not against that. In fact, it's made me think he may embody all that's wrong with the team at the moment. In saying that, if it's possible to get the best out of him til the end of the season, then that would get my vote. There's no doubting his contribution on the park when firing on all cylinders.

Cant believe people dont want him anymore! This would be like the huns not wanting Jelavic anymore (If he had a bad start to the season which he didnt but if he did) doubt they would be calling for his head. Come on he was our best player last season and will be this season.

Kayal told the manager last week that he wanted away. This is a fact, the reason why I know this is it came from a player in the dressing room, don't like to say who because it could cause trouble for him.

CELTIC are delighted to announce that Beram Kayal has today signed a new extended contract that will see him remain at the club until at least the end of season 2014/15.

The Israeli internationalist joined Celtic from Maccabi Haifa last summer, and proved an instant hit with supporters. The 23-year-old midfielder has made 40 appearances for the Hoops, scoring two goals.

And he told the official Celtic website of his delight at signing the extended contract, and of his determination to bring success to the club.

"I'm very happy to sign this new contract with Celtic," Kayal said. "I came to Celtic last season and I've enjoyed it very much. I feel at home here and I want to be at the club for a long time.

"The fans have been magnificent and I want to thank them all for their support. I will do everything for the club and the manager to achieve success.

"It was the manager who wanted me here and I want to achieve things for him, the club and all our supporters."
