    How would you feel about trying out this partnership up front for the next few games? Stokes to me is undoubtedly our main striker now. And with hooper off form/injured and to me Bangura doesn't look up to much. Obviously Sammy has his critics, deservedly so.

    Despite his inconsitency there is definately talent in their, on his day(which isn't often) he is one of our most dangerous players. As far as I know I don't think this partnership has been tried out, and untill Hooper is back to his best or full fitness I would like to see Lenny try this one out.

    I will more than likely be shot down for this but here we go, thoughts?

    Our best pairing is Stokes and Hooper, the stats back that up. Hooper has been off form, while Stokes is on form.

    Sammy offers nothing to the side. Hooper has still been scoring despite poor form.

    Bangura would be a far better option. Sammy has had enough opportunities.

    I would never shoot you down mate because you have had the courage of your convictions to make the post in the first place. I was thinking about a Stokes/Sammy partnership myself, considering someone else started a Bangura/Stokes thread.

    We need to explore all options to get the mix right upfront, as with Hooper being off form and injured now, we need to try something different. Correct me if I am wrong, but hasn't Sammy played with Stokes this year once and it didn't quite work out ? I am not saying once is enough to form a hard opinion mind you.

    I would suggest that the away game to Rennes on Thursday would be a good time to try out this partnership. Wouldn't risk it in any SPL games at the moment.

    Hooper won't play in the next couple of games through injury, why not try this out when he is out injured?

    We are in 3rd place, 10points behind in the league, and we are suggesting Samaras is going to be the answer? Tellingly Neil said last week that this player might get him the sack. Hope its not prophetic.

    If Hooper isnt fit, it will be Bangura up front with Stokes. Alternatively a 5 man midfield with Stokes at the point. Commons or McCourt could come back in.

    To be honest, I havent a * clue what we should be doing. Normally I could try and offer an argument for one player over another, but I just dont know what the answer is.

    Pretty sure if we are thinking that Sammy can turn our season around after countless times being let down by him then we have real problems. Which we have.

    Would have no problem with this pairing in Europe as I couldnt give a * what happens there.

    This season is all about the title.

    Can't see him going with 2 up top on thursday tbh, might play sammy out wide which would be totally * pointless. More likely to see it on sunday if Hooper isn't back

    You'll never get your wish then because he'll never play Stokes and Samaras as a conventional striking partnership.

    It will always be Samaras dropping off or Stokes coming in from the wing or something equally silly.

    No, only time i would use sammy is if were playing him as a lone striker.

    He'll probably play against rennes.
