I'd prefer on the left wing in the 4-4-2, but this is another option:

    Forster
    Matthews K.Wilson Mulgrew Izzy
    Ki/Brown Kayal Ledley
    McFadden Hooper Stokes

He can definitely play there , but the problem is playing Ledley there much better in the centre of the park imo . Ki has done ok but to many freak results with him there , time to go back to the successful tried and tested Kayal and Ledley partnership

He'll be taking Commons place in the side almost instantly.

If Common's find his form of last season which im sure he will ,That would worry me if McFadden took his place .Personally i would take Common's over McFadden everyday.

I think the whole 'he's injured, no he isn't' then getting sent off at Tynecastle has left Lennon with a major bee in his bonnet over him.

Good question, for end product Commons all day every day but then I would have Commons over a lot of people when he's in the form he was last season because everything he struck hit the back of the net.

I still think Faddy for free is a no brainer just now, if not just to add a freshness to a squad which could probably be doing with a shake.

    Forrest----- McFadden -----Commons/McCourt
    -----------Hooper/Stokes-------------

    Zaluska

    Matthews
    Rogne
    Mulgrew
    Izzaguire

    Ledley
    Kayal

    Brown
    Ki
    McFadden

    Hooper

Would love that. Ledley and Kayal giving plenty of cover to allow the full backs to bomb forward, with McFadden linking up with Hooper.

Basically i'd play ledley and kayal as two sitting centre midfield players. i know some think we are celtic,we play in the spl,we dont need a holding player never mind two, well balls. even in the seville team, lennon and lambert done something quite similar, and we looked more organised and not as shakey in defence.

We kept alot of clean sheets last season, not by the brillance of our goalkeeper, our the defence, but by the tried and trusted ball winning players in centre midfield.they read the game well, the can make a tackle and are the basis of my side.

i would play them just infront of kelvin wilson and mulgrew, they seem to be are two best centre halfs, but it remains to be seen if they are our best pair of centre halfs, but they need time to get some game time together, but should be the partnership with everyone fit.

With kayal and ledley just infront of them,we almost become a back 6,trapp style tactics, when we defend. this would leave top four with less responability with defending, and more to create the attack. they could all move around creating major problems for the defenders to pick up. mcfadden and commons are very intelligent players with the vision to create, and as we know, hooper and stokes link up well together and can exploit the chances the other two can put their way. commons is a good goalscorer himself,it remains to be seen what level mcfadden can contribute on that score, but in the right environment he could be a serious player.

talking about everyone being fit, leaves me to the full back positions. izzy is a cert when fit,on the other side, with everyone fit,in the team id like to play, then it has to be cha. they could become that outlet for the attacking four, dragging players with them creating space. both have good attributes to get them to the attacking byline, and cross or cut back. we would be dangerous playing this system home or away, against all sides in the spl.

in essience we have two groups of four, k.wilson, mulgrew, kayal and ledley. there job would be to defend. pick up the strikers, watch runners from midfield and cover for our full backs,if they get caught up the field.
and the other four would be mcfadden, commons, stokes and hooper. there job would be to attack.become available, create space and chances, score goals. they would need to become available to take control of the ball, use cha and izzy down the flanks, interchange among the four of them.them four playing regular, all season, could net 60+ between them.

the full backs have the pace and the energy to cover the flanks.while we defend, sometimes in difficult, away games, having to dig in.they become part of this six man defensive unit. but when given the chance,if one of the them can go forward, become an option as five men attack the oposition back line.

4-0 St Mirren , 2 defeats away to Hearts , 1-0 St Johnstone , 3-2 inverness ,4 home draws last December at home he was involved in all of these matches and that's just of the top of my head could be more plus he dosnt turn up in big games imo, I'm not doubting that the guy has ability but Kayal and Ledley are the pair that get us results .
