The FIFA Rankings are a waste of time. Mexio and USA used to be 3rd and 4th in the world, and clearly they done nothing in the last World Cup.

 

aye they may be useless in terms of who is actually the best but they can help us qualify cos we will move up a pot and wont get the sort of group we got this time around

 

That news makes me full of pride at what our nation has acheived. Go on Scotland rise up.

Is it true Scotland was once ranked no.1 in the world briefly decades ago or is that pub 10th pint horseshit talk.

 

We must have been the best in the world in the 1880s or something. Back when they played football in top hats and tails.

I can't help but feel that we aren't 16th best in the world. Maybe 30th is more accurate.

 

as joe says, if it gets us a better group then smashin, however i fail to see how they can say with a straight face that we are 16th best in the world

Bottom line is that the rankings do influence how you are seeded when the draws for qualifications and major finals come around so Scotland moving into the top 20 is good news.

 

Isnt it wonderful, Georgia dont know it yet but they are in for a hiding, they will be maulicated, guaranteed gubbing, you see they are 85th in the rankings and we are 16th.

I sure hope we win but when I hear the likes of them trying to get Quashie fit ffs he is * poor * joke, and Christian Dailly he has trouble getting a game for his own club, those two in my eyes are on a par with you know who that is injured right now for Celtic.
Still with a bit of luck Scotland can get the three points.
