Heard them at least twice today, wish they would stop, it's so cringeworthy. How can we complain about the huns singing Billy Boys and then we sing these?:52:

I really wish this tiresome pish would go away.

Our support is about the only thing we have going for us at the moment.

We have much bigger things to worry about than our songsheet ffs!

Every supporter in that stadium can walk away proud of themselves today.

Wish I could say the same for the players.

Please don't try and compare IRA chants to the Billy Boys, that's the only offensive thing about this thread. The people that are offended by our chants would find something else to criticise us for.

    * them.

So we're now blaming the fans for the players being uninterested today.

    Jesus wept.

As I said, our support is about the only thing we currently have going for us.

    Heard them more than twice.

As soon as the game kicked off it was the Celtic Symphony being repeated a couple of times.

I heard Celtic Symphony, Aidan Mcanespie, Roll of honour, boys of the old brigade, go on home british soldiers

Being pelted out and most of them repeated.

They're not illegal or sectarian but it would be nice if the fans sung some Celtic songs once in a while.

Tbh I would be uninterested if I played for a team who's "fans" sung songs about the butchering of people from the same country as me.

I'm not comparing but songs about politics and terrorist groups have no place in football.

Our support was the only added atmosphere in that midden.

And I honestly don't think there is anything on this planet capable of spurring on Forster.

Why have you put fans in inverted commas ?

The support that were there today are the hardcore of the Celtic support, the guys that go week in week out. Get used to it.

I always find it galling when folk sit in front of their laptops and type away as they pontificate about the Celtic support who actually turn up and support their team by attending the game.

due to the fact, they are praising the old I.R.A, ...in Britain they are actually illegal, due to the fact they are singing about a illiegal "terrorist group".

All the songs sung at the game today appear on a list which has been ok'd by the powers that be!

The club are not in any danger of being reprimanded and the fans let no-one down today!!!

The other lot, however, were chanting the offensive stuff, particularly aimed directly at Lenny! They're nothing but scum!!!

Our fans were great today and can be proud of themselves!!!

More IRA songs the better. I'm a traditionalist.

There is always other clubs for those British fans who may be offended. We are a Irish club.
