I think those first three would be at the bottom of the list. A surprise candidate might even be Tommy Burns. Him and Willie McStay have worked amazingly in the past five or six years.

David Moyes would probably be my choice.

Not this kind of thinking again. :38: Keane is a totally unproven inexperienced manager.:38: Keane is on record saying he only got into Celtic later in life (so hardly a diehard Tim). Same story with MON who was never a Celtic supporter. I am fed up of every Irish footballer being described as a diehard Celt in the media. :31: Its almost always rubbish and being a 'diehard' usually does not go beyond Celtic being the default Scottish team to keep an eye out for the score after watching your real (EPL) team. I know Ireland fairly well and only a very small minority are actually out-and-out Celtic-and-Celtic-only (i.e. not very much a 2nd team after Man U etc) fans and most of them are from the north of Ireland or Donegall. No disrespect to the many Irish lads here who are big fans but I am sure they would mostly agree with me on this. The 'every Irish player is a mad Tim' is a total media myth. Anyway, as long as we always favour guys with Celtic links (or even favouring guys for just being Irish) for Celtic jobs then we will always be in danger of another Brady or Macari type manager and missing out on a WGS.

nah im almost certain keane said he loved celtic since he was a young lad in his book. Anyway we all knew he was manger material even when he was 30, the man is a top up and coming manager and is doing brillant at the moment. He wont leave anyway, looks like hes building something very good, and also WGS loves being at this club and he too is building something promising so i can imagine him being around for some time.

I would want Strachan to stay... He would be a hard act to follow

still if he does go.....Roy Keane has the credentials for the job

strachan is here for the long haul, dont u worry people. hes doing a great job and enjoying it, no need for this type of discussion. no new manager needed or likely to be needed, so no need talk about one. let strachan build on what he has we get enough * from the media without concocting stories of our own.

Having read his autobiography, there is nothing in there to suggest that he is a 'dyed in the wool' Celtic man.

He may have a fondness for the club, but I doubt that it extends much beyond that. Simply being Irish doesn't instantly make him a die hard celt.

I'd reserve that description for guys like Billy McNeill, Bobby Lennox and Paul McStay.

He is in his very first managerial job, so he is nowhere near experienced enough to be Celtic manager. I have heard nothing to suggest that WGS is going anywhere. Your 'sources' have been proven to be utter bollocks so many times we have all lost count.

I think it's disgusting that a Celtic fan wants to start unfounded and unsettling rumours about our manager.

Strachan will stay for a while longer.
Keane is too inexperienced to manage Celtic.
