I agree with what many are saying here.

Rangers securing 4iaR is an almost certainty. Our defence is utterly shocking and has been for years. Our No.1 keeper is a young lad on loan.

Rangers always build from the back. They always find good defenders. They have started the season (the league anyway) in blistering form.

Unless millions of pounds are spent, we will once again lose the league and Lenny will be fired. It's as simple as that. We can't win a league leaking so many goals.

    I voted no.

The defence always gets the blame. If you are a team you have to come up with a plan to win with the team members you have.

Making bad plans is what will possibly cost lenny his job.

I don't think Rangers will drop that many points this year, in fact, I think Sally is gonna have quite an easy time of it in the league.

We have been a 'work in progress' every since WGS left. This team, with its current personnel, are NOT championship material.

The players need to get the finger out or the league could be over before christmas, you just wonder whether this current bunch have really got what it takes to succeed .........

We cant afford to drop any more points than them before we get them at Celtic Park, as you want that game to be atleast if we win we go back top.

    Voted yes.

To sign only one centre back whilst retaining Loovens and Dan 'damage' Maj is kamikaze management

    It's not only the defence.
It is the whole team that has no spirit and no confidence at all. He only created 20 (how many players we have got??) individuals and no team.
He keeps on changing the team, which means that he does not know what his best team is. He does not know how he wants to play football, because he is changing his "tactics" every week.
Players don't know anymore what they have to do. And simply saying: "go there an fight for every ball" does not work any longer. That only worked in the beginning but not for two years. That is also the reason he got a coach (Baxter?!) in the beginning, but i think he never asked his coach anything.
So it is a pitty for him, but i am convinced he is not reaching the end of this season. Glad that he can only blaim himself and nobody else.
Still think it is a pitty for Celtic because on this way you loose two seasons top build up a good squad....

something isnt right at cp,you look at there players when they beat us in of game there seemed a togetherness about them and we looked distant, lenny had his chance to sort defence out and hasnt up till now, lets get back to basics cut out this zonal and everyone helping defence as a unit and try and get too jan not far behind and get cb in

I voted No- because- if we know the defence is suspect then you need to adopt tactics to prevent the opposition getting to it-

    1. Block the midfield -bit anti football I know- but when your backs are to the wall and all that.
    2. Stop zonal marking- dodgy defenders do not have the intelligence to do this!! Pick up a man each and go man to man, block the runners etc!!!!

C'mon Neil get a grip of them!!!!!!!

I'm not saying you're wrong here but I hope you are.
At beginning of season the vast majority here was saying we have a much better squad than them and we will definitely win the league this year.
"Sally will be sacked by Christmas" etc...
Being a realist I think it will be a close one again but we should just edge it with the squad we have.
We haven't got off to the best of starts but we must remain positive.
    In Lennon I still trust!

Lennons management of the team will be his downfall, on numerous occasions we have seen baffling team lineups, substitutions, tactics etc..., sometimes i think lennon is trying to be too smart in his tactics and it just backfires continuously. A person who has never seen or played football would realise our defence is a * shambles, why can't the management and board see what we see, they are deluding themselves if they think the current cb's are good enough to win this title.

Lennon needs to make some tough decisions if he wants to continue as celtic manager at the end of the season, its time to drop some pals and friends and be realistic because i have a feeling not only will the defence and himself cost him his job his backroom staff will do as well, there is just no experience at all in the management team and while pals are good to have around, in a job you have to be pragmatic and realise they might actually be bad for him.

We're now in a situation where the Shame could be 10 points clear, before we have to go away to Tyncastle with our dodgy defence.

It's not even * October yet!!

I honestly believe that unless we spend millions of pounds in January on a quality (x2?) Central Defender we will lose the league again. It's unthinkable and unbelievable considering they have been on their knees for nearly 3 years. All we had to do was put down some hard candy on individuals with quality and we would have chopped their head off and dug their grave.

It's scandalous. They money we have completely wasted is pure pish. Instead of spending 5mil on one player, we bring in 6 "good prospects" for the same money and then seem to be completely caught out by how pish they are.

Needs money, nothing else. Lenny can do it. Give him the cash. End of.

I dont think they will cost lenny his job, its either the managers fault or the boards for not releasing funds to strenghen that area, the manager bought wanyama and bangoura and a think he thought he would have enough cover in defense with the 2 players coming in, mathews and wilson.

Wilsons doesnt seem to be the decent centre half we have been crying out for, especially his last 3 games or so, mathews has looked decent enough....

Great post:50:.Agree with most of this sick of seeing players like wanyama and bangura coming in and sitting on the bench or being labelled 1s for the future.Lennon is dealing in the here and now.Everyone and their dog knew the defence needed sorted we should have pushed the boat out and tried for a proven quality CB.I just hope its a lesson learned and we can sort it in jan while trying not to let r*ngers get to far ahead
