As Riotgrril said, we'll be back next year and stronger!

Tonight I felt we did ok. We just were very ineffective up front. But the forwards didn't have enough support. The midfield needed to sit further up to give support but that wasn't really forthcoming.

We needed to throw the kitchen sink at them after going one down but Milan actually had a lot more chances than us in that period. it's a learning curve and the bhoys did ok.

As someone who has critcised Jarosik and Gravesen all season I thought they both played well tonight. It is not a night for blame, that will come later. I thought we grew up tonight and played really well in the mecca of football stadia. When you think of how far Gordon has brought us in two years there is much to look forward to. If nothing else tonight proved we can play in the big boys playground and we can go upward and onward next year. Hats off to WGS, he is doing a fantastic job. If you think about it by going to extra time we really reached the last nine.

    * were do i begin?

unbelieveably proud of the Bhoys and our manager tonight. only thing he got wrong was jarosik - WGS clearly has a blind spot here as this man offers nothing to the team.

so dissapointing to lose due to yet another mistake but cant really blame young Sno - couple of years time we'l do well to keep him.

Boruc really is world class - cant afford to lose him.

thought defence was fantastic tonight. how ironic is it that Telf now looks good 2 months before he is due to leave.? O'dea is gonna be great as long as he is patient and bides his time. naylor had a great game and made so many great last ditch tackles and blocks. as for big Mick, as far as im concerned he is our John Terry. he throws himself in front of everything and is a natural leader. he was superb.

referee was a shocking. denied us at least one stonewall pen.

free kick in the last minute - oh if only Naka was still on eh?

as for the strike force. Zurawski(i know he didnt even play), Beattie and Miller should all be sold because none of them are good enough for the level we wanna be at - * at times they aint even good enough to play against Falkirk. Big Jan nedds a partner

the game was crying out for kenny miller near the end of the 90 and big jan looked done. i felt kenny could have been far mroe effective. but then again im not the gaffer, although putting big diddy craig beattie on instead of miller baffled me:97: .

that said noone can have a go at the effort and commitment tonight shown by the lads. we looked as if we deserved to be there and only a lack of pace/cutting edge prefented us going through.

However im fed up with the hard luck stories and glorious failure. u can say we do fantastically well to get to this stage etc, but look at psv eindhoven, they do it EACH AND EVERY YEAR and have resources not too dissimilar to our own(not able to hold onto their main striker for the sake of 3 million)

We came within an ace of snatching it...and the referee had an absolute shocker....I think he was in Milan's pay packet...

Spot on.Im sick and tired of the same * every year.Well done the bhoys for tonight but I hope WGS can push us on now.Seville gave us all a taste of where this club and our fans want and now EXPECT to be every year.Lets get to the next level and at least match teams like PSV,Lyon etc.

I believe jarocik stepped up to the plate tonight and I was gutted to see him go and not other suspect midfielders. Jarocik imo has to be one of the best tacklers around, he worked his socks off and hopefully he can keep it up. I think tonight showed we really do need to splash out on one out and out striker with pace!

    I agree

I thought Jarosik came of age tonight...his best performance in a Celtic jersey..

And that homer of a referee denied us a stonewall penalty, when Jarosik's shot was charged down by Maldini using his arm in the box..

he was * useless as usual and was lucky not to be booked for persistant fouling. his tackles are just like him - * hopeless and lazy

i think he defended well to be fair mate and milan only started getting crosses inf rom that side once jiri went off. useless in attack though it has to be said

if u want 2 talk about shockers lets talk about lennon the guy done nothing exept let kaka run away from him with ease for the milan goal. any other celtic player would have halled him down on the half way line. why does this guy get a game week in wek out. celtic are better when hes not playing. he was good when celtic played martin oneils system but he slows down WGS fast flowing ATTACKING football...!!!

I agree with both of ye.When I saw the starting line up I was shocked that Jarosik was playing and I thought he had a nightmare of a game to be honest.
I also think Lennon is past it and cant cut it in the SPL let alone CL even though I think he is top man.I think this is his last season.:triste:
Tommy G is my man for midfield!Stick him in there with Sno(who will be world class eventually)or Hartley.
Kenny Miller offers nothing.I love a man who trys.Tries hard, lots of pace but we can buy better in the summer IMO.
Chin up Celts. We WILL get better.WGS will do the business for us.

hesselenk was clearly knackered and was struggling to run never mind score instead of bringing naka off i would of brought him off. Look at the fk on the edge of the box that naylor took. I was close to tears at the end of the match but i was proud to be a celtic fan

Good performance but should've won with a penalty.
