    falcao and di natale are class, but ive seen better players and better teams come to parkhead and leave with nothing.

    Exactly the home games are key if we are to have any chance of progressing on in this, but as I say that, Rennes romped to a 6-2 away win against Sochaux last night in Ligue 1..doesn't fill me up with hope :p

    atletico did not play well against us, i firmly believe that was an average performance from them that night. Missed our chance to really take the game to them when it was 1-0 and we were having a decent amount of possession. tougher games to follow i'm afraid. Folk think Rennes will be our chance but they are great at home and it looks like they are not to shabby away either (6-2 win the other day).

    See tbh i wasn't that impressed with Atletico or Falcao, he was very very quiet, perhaps he just had a poor game though.

    I think we can beat anyone at home. I dont expect anything in Italy, hopefully come out of France with a point or three though.

    It was an average, disjointed performance from Celtic as well.

    If Celtic play as they can i.e. the day we beat the huns 3 nil at Parkhead last season, we will give all 3 teams a proper game at home. We were knocking the ball about that day with such ease there was a thread on here called 'do we play the best brand of football in Europe barring Barcelona' :56:

    All the games will be tough, middle to front we can cause teams problems but Lenny really needs to get the defence sorted.

    too many to choose a favourite, der all smashin!
    I noticed this too which worries me because am o the opinion we seem to crumble to counter attacking teams - to be honest after seeing them against arsenal I reckon udinesr should be feared more than athletico. I dont like seeing celtic with one man upfront but would understand if thats how we set up against udinese

    :50:i agree mate as once again parkhead will soon become fortress:50: parkhead again,three wins would be awesome in our group espeicaly playing teams like A.Madrid+udinese and rennes,as long as we dont finish in last place in the group,i'll be a happy bhoy.

    i say 7 points from those 3 home games and the bhoys managing to sneak an away draw in udinese or rennes,now that would be awesome espeicaly in that group,i cant see us beating madrid at parkhead but you never know.

    we defo need to beat udinese at parkhead next thursday to have a chance and to restore some pride back and yes i know it will be hard but with our 12th man being there,we will fire the bhoys to a 2-1 win,bangura the hero(I hope!!),i feel madrid will beat rennes but a draw would do me in that game but with a £35m striker playing and other players worth £20m each,i just cant see rennes getting anything,if we did beat udinese and madrid drew,then the group would be wide open again,yes i know everyone will think i'm nuts as we are crap in europe but with a full house at parkhead,i'm sure the bhoys would put on a show,we have to simple as that.

    The group after next thursdays results...

    celtic 2 udinese 1:veryhappy::veryhappy:
    rennes 1 madrid 1

    A.Madrid 4 points
    Celtic 3 points:veryhappy::veryhappy:
    Udinese 3 points
    Rennes 1 point

    That would be brilliant if that came true like

    sion kiss that!! :93::93::93::93:

    The rest of our games I think we can 10 points out of. Rennes won 6-2 the other night but apparently their opposition are in some sort of crisis regarding players so that would have been a heavy factor

    Celtic 2-1 Atletico
    Celtic 3-2 Udinese
    Celtic 1-0 Rennes

    Not too confident going to Italy but we should still have a go at them over there as they are an open team. Think we could sneak a draw in France

    Udinese 3-1 Celtic
    Rennes 1-1 Celtic

    10 points is usually enough to qualify from a European group but I`m not too sure on this one as it is going to be really tight between every team in the group. Just hope for the best that other results go in our favour
