    this is too close to home. ive been in a trance all day. I dont know the men personally but the family know them and friends know them, we're all one community here in the Amman/Swansea valley, the mine is about 7miles from me. Ive been numb all day and i'm so sick of * like this happening.

    why the * was a 62 year old man down a mine, slaving away in such dangerous and wretched conditions. what sort of capitalist greedy society do we live in that we cant look after our men etc and force them to work in such conditions for measly pay. this is * 2011. im fuming and depressed,especially being from a mining family in this same area as is everyone. horrendous. this is a song that is majorly doing the rounds at the moment on facebook, an old favourite. please listen to it and hold the miners in your thoughts.

    This is unbelievably sad. In this day and age it's hard to believe that safety in mines can still be so poor, that four men can die like this. My heart goes out to their families.

    during the Minute Silence, primarily for the 4miners whom everyone either knew or was connected to , but also for Brendan Rodgers dad, a 5yr old girl who died locally last week in a car accident and also for a WBA youth player who died of cancer they decided to * it up by chanting. pathetic scum
