i think the early start has caused a few problems mate

players still look unfit and lethargic and are picking up injuries and it's only the 8th of september :54:

It's a shame but we have Wilson and Matthews. Prefer Wilson tbh.

He has been playing well. The only downfall in Cha's game is his crossing, he can be caught out at the back sometimes but his pace always gets him back.

Don't think this is a massive loss tbh... Cha has looked decent this season but really pace is his main asset, his tackling and final ball hasn't been particularly great. For me both Wilson and Matthews are better players.

Is Lennon training our players properly? I know it was an early start this season but players have looked overly sluggish and some nowhere near match fit.....which of course could be the reason we are picking up so many injuries.

Shame cause he was startin to look good. Didnt like him at first but rate him now. Got good cover for rightback though and an oppertunity to look at matthews.

You must have been watching a different game, he was so bad that they showed a video montage of him losing the ball at halftime and Hartson said he had been our worst player.

I personally think he is the worst right back we have and he should be behind both Wilson and Matthews.

I prefer Wilson at RB and this could give Matthews a chance for some more game time.

I think Matthews is more than decent enough. Hopefully he takes his chance.

I agree, the reason Wilson was dropped for the start of the season for this guy is beyond me

Wilson is my first choice anyway. Also Matthews looks a right good player and he can easily step in and do a grand job.

You may prefer Wilson, but he may be playing at LB (in Europe), so I would have had Cha down as a starter for us. A blow, but one we can recover from.

Matthews at RB, Forrest RW. :celt_2:

Would feel more comfortable with Cha in the team v. Madrid. His pace is invaluable if someone slips through our defense. If it was all SPL games coming up, I wouldn't be too bothered.

This guy is too predictable. He just runs up the pitch and does a cross that usually ends up into nothing.

Cha Du-Ri brings a number of interesting elements to the Celtic squad – sheer pace, brute force physicality, an endearing disposition and experience. Yet for all his intrinsic gifts, he remains a deeply flawed footballer. His displays in both qualifiers again expose his fundamental shortcomings which are firmly rooted in (1) poor defensive positioning (which tends to appear for both club and country) and (2) an alarming inability to play a decent cross with any sort of consistency. As much as it is exhilarating to see Cha’s electrifying runs down the right, it is equally, if not more, frustrating to see the Celtic rightback play a poor pass that puts a transitioning midfield into trouble or run into a cul-de-sac and lose possession. These issues recurred in both matches and severely limited the ability of Celtic and Korea to stretch play with any sort of measurable impact.
