aye half the team are foreign. Simon Danielli is English (the double try scorer), as is the coach, Max Evans(brother of the guy who was in studio) and Joe Ansbro(the black player). Dan Parks(replacement fly half came who kept putting restarts into touch) is an aussie as is nathan hines (replacement second row)

maybe more but i think thats them all

you get a bonus point if you score 4or more tries. and you also get one if you lose but by less than 7 points

7 of the 30 man squad were born outside Scotland and that doesn't include Danielli who was born in Edinburgh and Ansbro who was born in Glasgow.

3 players were born in England, Evans, Jackson and Hamilton. 2 were born in Hong Kong, Morrison and Barclay; and 2 were born in Australia, Hines and Parks.

Just because they have English accents doesn't mean they're not Scottish.

I don't see Ireland having a prayer against Australia based on that performance against the USA. Even at 22-3 while the scoreline looked ok it was never convincing. The Irish handling even allowing for the pouring rain was very poor. Then that injury time interception try for the USA, very poor play and no fourth Irish try and bonus point at the end. Yes a win but just not good enough to touble a team like Australia.

Well, at least we're winning. Mixed bag from Dan Parks.

Watching that Scotland rugby game has made me think, if samaras was playing in that match, he'd be in intensive care by now

Didn't expect a bonus point from that game. All I wanted was a good performance from the forwards, which we got. Standout performances from man of the match Brown, the Lamont brothers and Evans. Robinson has a selection headache for the Argentina game but that’s not a bad thing. The only changes I’d make to the backs would be Ansbro in for De Luca and maybe Blair in for Lawson. Parks was good with the boot out of hand and we’re going to have to play a territory game against Argentina.

Australia v Ireland just started on STV. Has the looks of a good match, albeit I don't really know much about rugby. :52:

    G'luck to the Irish. :50:

Well I didn't give us a prayer after the USA performance despite the win and how happy am I to have been proved so comprehensively wrong. Just incredible. I think even the most optimistic of Irish supporters didn't see that one coming. You felt we would raise our game maybe and give Australia a game. But nowhere did I see us raising our game to that kind of level. Not just a win over Australia but a well deserved one with the Irish pack flat out out playing the tri nations champions. Absolutely inspirational Irish performance. :celt_2:

Great result for the northern hemisphere sides. It makes the next stage very interesting indeed. If Ireland and Wales can go on to win their remaining games then we'll have one of the Celtic nations guaranteed a semi final spot, plus one of the big three will be out at the quarter final stages since Australia would play S Africa. Now all we need is for Canada to beat New Zealand and France (LOL) so Scotland play them in the next round. If we can come through against Argentina that is.
