Should've added Madge from Neighbours & Michelle McManus to the poll, reckon big Michelle would take it

I've always rated Mick, should never have sold him.

Mick was rotten but even then he was better than Majstorovic.

Actually looked a decent prospect when coming through at first.

The shame about Mick is he apparently played for ages with a bad ankle. He was a decent player before that. He was a good tackler and good in the air. Also good in the opposition box. In fact one thing people forget is that in his good couple of years he also was really good at long balls. Late on everything went, coudnt pass, seemed to lose his jumping ability etc but I honestly believe that was down to injury. IMO Mick and Gary are both better all round CHs than any we have had since (jury out on Wilson as yet). They are both playing at a harder than SPL level at bottom of SPL/top of championship.

Thing is Mick probably would cost about 3 million to get back. He is pretty well thought of at Boro and they are gunning for EPL promotion this year. Caldwell of course is in his 3rd season in the EPL now and is captain of his club. Personally I think they (Caldwell in particular) are remembered for their bad patches and its forgotten that they both had a couple of great years for us.

McManus, seemed to be less of a liability.

Two of them are actualy dreadful and thats me being nice. I rate Caldwell better than the two of them and he was pish. I cant believe people would take McManus back.

You really needed a "neither" as a 3rd choice.

Both are dreadful, and Caldwell isn't much better !

Mick easily, people tend to forget him and caldwell have had some great games in the hoops especially in 07/08, some excellent CL performances aswell particularly v milan.

I honestly can't believe how short folks minds are.

McManus was an absolute bombscare, he couldn't pass 3 feet, he rattled through the back of defenders, he was caught out of position all the time and the times he got the ball and tried to ping a long pass knowing full well it was ending up out of touch were enfuriating.

Maj has had a shocking start to the season but Maj at his best i.e. St Johnstone away last season is on another level from McManus who but for his heart and desire would be a non league player.

I don't rate either. McManus might have been a bombscare but Majstorovic is too. Maj at his best may be better than McManus. I disagree personally. However, Maj at his worst is a whole lot worse than McManus at his worst.

Slag McManus' passing if you like. Majstorovic is even worse at passing. Even last season he was constantly passing the ball out for a throw in when trying to find a full back.

It's nothing to do with short minds. He was terrible last year too.

Could you see Majstorovic stepping up the way big Mick did against Hearts on New Year's Day? Could you see McManus consistently * up defensive clearances with the head? Majstorovic headers it up in the air but it doesn't actually go anywhere. He'd be as well leaving the thing all together. McManus wouldn't let balls bounce for a speedy wee striker to nip in ahead of him. McManus wouldn't be about 20 yards behind the rest of his defensive line after 30 odd seconds of the match.

The poll currently spells out 1888 :icon_mrgreen:
