Decent player. £35 million though? Not a chance, i would say he is an £8-10million striker at best.

Not a particular fan, he`s ability is far less than the price paid. In saying that I think he will have a good season with liverpool, linking up with Suarez, have Downing and Charlie`s Pants delivering crosses into the box should get him 15+ goals.

think he's very good. Not worth the fee but that was a deadline day price!

Decent talent but seems to be a bit of an * off the field. The 35m price tag Liverpool paid for him is beyond a joke though. That is more then they paid for Suarez who is a vastly superior player. Newcastle don't get much right but you have to say the fact that they managed to prize 35m from Liverpool for Andy Carroll is very impressive.

Worst priced striker since big Ibra. Similar players in many respects.

Waaay overpriced, still has to prove himself after purple patch at Newcastle. Though he can come good because of players around him who can always create chances - especially Downing, Kuyt and Suarez.

He is over priced, everyone is aware of that.

He is far from * though. In fact of his 'type' of striker there aren't many kicking about as good, he wins everything in the air and will be a massive player for Liverpool.

I like him, one of the best big target men types around, I can only think of Dzeko that is better. £35million was over the score though hes more like a £18million-£22million striker. £35million is like the Fabregas, Suarez, Aguero, Tevez bracket.

hes not 35million worth but hes alot better thn hes getting credit for in this thread, and instead of having this weird grudge that we seem to have with him(to do with his price and hooper it seems) why dont we just be glad we didnt have to pay big money for hooper :celt_2:

although being completely unbias, carroll is better than hooper

Hate how * distorted peoples views on players abilities are these days because of big * premiership clubs paying 35 million for a clown like this.

I dont know if Hooper is better as I dont know about yous but I didnt follow scunthorpe and Newcastle every week when they were in the championship.

Carroll aint worth 35 million anyway! The fact that Suarez cost 22 million speaks volumes.

the fact hooper scored more goals with less games in a inferior team makes hooper a far better striker than him, both are different types of striker but I would much rather a hooper than a carroll in my team hoops has a far better footballing brain and superior movement to this guy

I would prefer both in the hoops.

Carroll is gonna be a legend at liverpool i think.I also think
    he is ahead of Hooper.
