he basically was the reason spartak moscow did not beat barcelona at the new nou camp super sub and he was not match fit then.
However i dont want to see one of the bhoys on the paper for breaking his legs if hes out through another reason i would not mind ( need some luck against them ). Would be good to see him play in person dont think anyone can say they dont want to see him play in the flesh

 

You can't break his leg anyway. * always try and triple mark him and bring him down with crazy tackles, he just rides through them like it's nothing and bangs in another goal

Saying that, Celtic Park is one of the few places where he's lost before and he got injured here didn't he? So maybe he'll have an inferiority complex and shrivel up in the face of our ferocious atmosphere :icon_mrgreen:

I would love him to play at his best though. I want to see a game like the 4-3 Juve one, my dad always rants and raves about it and i've never seen a game as good as that live in the flesh.

 

When did Messi lose here? I don't think he was in the Barcelona team for the 2004 game. He was still coming through the ranks at that stage. The last time Barca were at Parkhead, they won 3-2 and Messi scored twice.

If he got a slight knocked in training and missed the game on tuesday i sure as * wouldn't be disappointed, dont want our players trying to injure any barca players though.

 

Very little chance of that happening, I'm afraid. He doesn't miss many matches and when he does, its usually because of something more than a minor knock. I can't remember the last time he missed more than one game for Barcelona.

His durability is remarkable when you think about it. He is not a big lad by any stretch of the imagination. He almost never is rested and thus given Barcelona and Argentina's levels is hardly ever getting a break away from the game. Given his ability he is constantly targeted by defenders yet he almost never is injured. Amazing really when you think about it.

 

This summer was the first in years he's not really had any commitments.

 

The boy can't be stopped. We could sit here all year & discuss this and that, he's a genius. Though I'd like him to get a knock and miss it, doubt he will. Just don't try snapping him
