He is the best holding midfielder in the world. He's better than Alonso and Toure defensively.

I thought he was crap a few years ago but he's proved his critics wrong.

This isn't the Busquets thread but that wasn't what you said. Toure might be an all round better player but Busquets is better as a holding midfielder than Toure.

Toure is 28 and Busquets is 23. In 5 years Busquets will probably be the best midfielder on the planet. Along with Fabregas and Thiago. :84:

Busquets is a complete * who is the perfect holding midfielder for both Spain and Barcelona.

However I don't think he is the best holding midfielder in the world, just fits in very well with the system that Barcelona and Spain play.

Still a good player though. Stick him in another team and he'd be more of a playmaker than a defensive type player.

Busquets adds the nasty aspect of the game that Barcelona need. He does a lot for the team, and the kind of praise he gets from Xavi and Iniesta says it all.

His diving and rolling around is truly pathetic, though. Embarrassing.

In your opinion. It's all subjective, not everyone likes their style of play, it doesn't mean they should give up watching football.

I heard people saying they don't like one-sided games where one team has 70% ball possession as it takes out the excitement and it's too predictable. Which is true.

Since getting the number 10 shirt he's scored 150 goals in 151 games. Sick.

If someone doesn't enjoy the style of football that Barcelona play then I would suggest that they pick another sport to be fair.

Everyone I have ever spoken to admires how they try to play the game. My mate is the biggest Real Madrid fan ever, but even he say's that Barcelona's football is possibly the closest we will ever see to perfection.

I could watch Barcelona play every day of the week :50:

    I'm not picky.
If it's us then I'm all too happy for it to be one-sided - especially against Hun FC :icon_mrgreen:

In all seriousness though the way Barcelona play no wonder it's so one-sided all the time but it's not like they play boring, defensive football. Even if they are so many goals ahead they are always looking for more, as the Leverkusen game proved. Plus one-sided or not, I know I'd never get bored of watching them play.

Look at the way they dominated Man Utd in last seasons Champions League Final as well.

They are the ultimate football team and I only wish we had a 1/4 of the resources that they had.

A guy who works with me used to play for rangers, he went away to Tokyo to play in an international youth tournament, under 17's level. Also there was Barcelona, Messi was playing in the tournament aswell, he said they were watching the barcelona game and Messi just kept constantly getting kicked off the ball, eventually he lost it and ended up breaking someones leg.

He is the last person you would expect to see that from, maybe that incident has taught him now, to just get up and try and stay calm. Couldn't believe it when he told me that :56:
