lennon said it himself; he has to win the league or he's for the off.

hard to disagree with him; but until we have lost the league he has my full backing :50:

he needs backing from the men upstairs and sadly he isn't getting it. :47:

there's absolutely no point in sacking neil; honestly, in our current state who would want to replace him? those who want lennon out, tell us who you would hire?

and if folk say gordon strachan i think i'll punch my laptop screen!

Bollox any manager who brings silver and a good euro run to a club is a instant hit weather he has celtic at heart or not , think people need to get over this faith in lenny * he is paid to do a JOB one he is not doing very well also one I dont think the board have FAITH in due to lack of funds

Say we don't win the league this season, do we all agree that Lennon surely would have to go?

Rangers are so bad at the moment it is embarrassing... If we don't win the league this season he should go whether we lose it on goal difference, a point or 20 points.

Lennon's record isn't great by any means. Lennon has been involved in 7 competitions and lost 6 so far. We're not asking him to win the CL or the Europa but we are asking him to at least qualify for the group stages. His only success came in the Scottish Cup last season. Look at the other results:

Beaten by Ross County in the Scottish Cup
Beaten by Braga in CL qualifiers
Beaten by Utrecht in Europa qualifiers
Beaten by Rangers in the CIS Cup Final
Beaten by Rangers to last seasons SPL title
Beaten by Sion in Europa qualifiers

If this was anyone other than Neil Lennon they'd be getting a lot more stick. This season if Lennon doesn't win the SPL he should be sacked. Simple as that.

No, it would be crazy for Lennon, to go at this stage of season.

Hopefully its a early season blip. If we dont win the league he will be gone. And to be honest I dont think it looks good, if he continues with obvious liabilities Samaras & Desparate Dan.:31: And we need width and a target man

Lennon's honeymoon is over, he needs to start delivering or we and him are fecked!

somebody should shut this topic down, calling for the managers head ..get a grip!

ain't one manager who would be interested in the celtic job that could walk in and do a better job than lennon ..giving the right support and through hard work which he certainly ain't shy of lennon can take this club places. he's a good manager and expierence will only make him better.

not one of you clowns are taking into consideration the injuries of late, not to mention the red card after 40 seconds ..lennon should have made subs and changed things, i have no doubt in my mind he could have done something better with the players he had at his disposal and should have but unlike the sad people on here calling for his head ..he ain't wasting his time being pathetic, he will be working hard reviewing what he could have done different and trying to lift spirits ..which funnily enough the players are paid more than him but that makes no difference in there performance, the thing that makes the difference is our man neil lennon, a natural born leader who i have no doubt will become great.

y'all need to grow up and get real ..you clowns enrage me and probably many others!

    in lennon we trust :celt_2:

An experienced group of coaches. There's no doubt Lennon, Thompson and Mjallby all have passion for Celtic and want them to do well but none of them have any real experience.

You said no one say Strachan. But what you forget is that Neil picked up the phone to Gordon Strachan before last seasons 2-0 win at Ibrox and asked him for advice. Lennon admits that. Strachan suggested the tactics and use of Samaras up front that day not Neil. I don't know why Strachan gets such a hard time on here. He won three SPL titles back to back and reached the last 16 of the Champions League. He was a VERY good manager for Celtic.

strachan had far more resources than neil has currently; i admire strachan and his achievements but he left at the right time; his last season was a horror show, once it became clear that the board wouldnt back him in january he more or less chucked it and so did the players. doesnt mean i dont like him but what good would bringing him back do? seriously?

our current problems largely stem from the appointment of mowbray and the millions it cost us to bring in players and to eventually pay him off

Why are we even asking this question?
Will Lenny walk? No, because he will get no financial recompense, unless The Board decide to do so as a generous employer, and the other 3 - who by the way get lettle flack but are as much to blame as lenny for our poor showings - will also get booted. So he has his family and the TV Pundit, The Football Coach and the DIY man to consider.
Will The Board sack Lenny? No, because they would have to pay compensation to him and his 3 amigos and then pay again for another Management Team.
Do I think Lenny is the man to lead us to great success? There is more chance of the hair in my head growing back!

I though the board where just being tight with the money but its clear that they dont trust lenny in any way as no money is available and dont * say we dont have any very few clubs run debt free you have to spend money to make money it would not cost silly bucks to qualify for the CL or even a really good run in europa

Lennon will be here forever regardless of quality and success as the Neil Lennon cult followers will never criticize him. Because he had bombs sent to him, he can do no wrong.

We will just have to accept mediocrity, naivety, inexperience and failure as our norm now.

In lennon we trust? Do me a favour.

People seem to think that because some of us would prefer an experienced quality manager, that we are fickle and not real Celtic fans.

What the * is going to be entertaining about this season in the SPL? * nothing, even if we win it. 40 * games against absolute * teams. Great.

Just because he's Catholic, a 'Celtic Man' and had bombs sent to him we somehow have to back him all the way.

We fail at every big game. Last Game against Rangers to win us the league, fail. Game against ICT, fail. Game against Utrech, fail. Game against Sion, Fail. We just played a recently promoted team at home and guess what, fail.

If the players are better than theirs, but don't show up who's fault is it? When we drop our top scorer, who's fault is it?

Feckin *. This is pathetic!! Last nites result was alldown to the fact that we gave away a penalty in the 1st minute and got a man sent off. How can Lennon do anyhthing about that.

I have only read the first page on this thread and a few others but they are making me pretty angry!!!!! I wish people would sit back and think about things before they let their fingers loose on the keyboard. Get a grip and stop talking nonsense

You need to get a grip if he had equalised last night you would have been what a great back it was .You can't blame the manager for just one game
Were you a part of the anti Strachan Brigade?
