He made some mistakes tonight but there's been a severe over reaction to the loss. I love having a manager who cares about the club for reasons more than it's just his job and we've got a whole coaching staff who have always been very passionate about the club.

I really can see them being here for a while and can see us getting big again. We may have to go through a bit of a slump in Europe but I truly see us contending for proper CL football in the future with this staff.

this is a great get out, you have been listening to many board members
if Lennon has balls at all, and scouts about fora mercenary, there are loads better than he has got, but his first choice was Freddy and i think the board have raised there eyebrows about his
choice of players, and maybe that witch, has now put Lennon, and his judgement with the board, in the penny tray. as they will not stand another flop

When you consider the talent of wee James Forrest, it's * baffling why he doesn't play ahead of the likes of Scott Brown, our hard working but limited captain, Commons, the uninterested one, and Samaras, the enigma. He's a very good young player. Direct, full of pace, has good movement, etc.

And Stokes, our most intelligent forward player, left on the bench again. What has he been doing wrong? Neil better not have dropped him for his recent form, because that's been down to his own fault in positioning him incorrectly. Not to mention, his best work is done with Super Gary Hooper. How Neil can not go with such a partnership for an important European tie is curious, to say the least.

Also, Paddy McCourt is a game changer and yet is sparingly used. On a difficult away night in Europe, I would've started him to open up play and help us creative a few chances to put us ahead in the tie. I can't disagree that he wasn't subbed on, due to the colossal *-up brought on by Maj the Vag, though. Commons was more suitable...but then, he wasn't brought on until the closing minutes.

Odd, odd, very odd. I don't know.

But if Lennons not the problem, that means its our players. And ive been thinking about this...and its really depressing ...coz u think about it..we need our defence to improve, big time...but then u think how poor we are up front whenever hooper gets injured ....and then if u think about it ...Commons and Brown have been so average at the start of the season..and our service into the box is shyt....so basically...we need to strengthen EVERYWHERE. And considering were going to get no money for the Europa League we are probz not going to spend any money....faithful through and through but it doesnt look too good :D HH

I just dont know what has happened to us.

Lenny is the man to take us forward this season. We all know he loves the club and the majority of us love Lenny. However, even Lenny makes mistakes but he must learn from them. Is he learning from his mistakes, well thats for each and every one of to decide?

There is still to much dead wood inside our squad and its very difficult to move them on. We knew after last season what we needed to do and again we never built on the squad we had.

Without pointing the finger * are we still playing Sammy, his scoring record is * poor and we give him a 3 year deal, Why, You need to ask Lenny?

Why are we not playing James Forrest he has pace to go past players put he is mostly on the bench.

Big Dan, well in my mind he was a mess at Inverness and another few games last season and he has steadily got worse. His play on Sunday was a joke and last night , well I just cant even comment, so why is Lenny still playing him?

Joe Ledley played in an attacking role when he was at Cardiff but Lenny holds him back at Celtic, why?

We all new Murphy wasnt up to the task before he came here but Lenny signed him and now he is out to loan at Ipswich, why did he buy him?

Last season when we went on our run our players were in the oppositions faces as soon as they had the ball, now we are giving teams far to much space and dont close players down until they get into our final third and that is when things get dangerous, why change?

What has happened to Chris Commons, he looks if he is carrying too much weight. He has started off very poor, hopefully he can recapture his form from last season.

Gary Hopper has started off very poor, he seems to be very lazy and not working as hard as he did when at his peak last season, again like Chris he looks top heavy.

Why is Lenny playing Stokes out wide in games when he is clearly a CF and goalscorer. I

A bug bearer of mine is why do we not have any players at the back post for corners and then send corners repeatedly to the back post.

We also have to many players injured, apart from Izzi, why are players injured so often? I could go on and on.

Lenny has brought the thunder back to Paradise but he needs to learn not to be so stubborn and tell the board we need at least 4 players before the window closes. I know top players wont come here but surely our scouting network has spotted some players who would sign for us and improve the squad. Lenny must stop trying to sign guys like Bridge, Bellamy etc, look at the talent thats left Scotland over the last few years and most of them would have gladly signed for us.

This could be a long season or maybe just maybe Lenny has got the wake up call he needs......... Lets wait and see

    I'm not picky.
The thing is though, certain people will * about results like tonight's and Sunday's, criticise Lennon's tactics and player choices etc but the person that will feel all of this the most, I'm pretty sure, will be Lennon himself. The buck always stops at the manager because people say "well, he's the one that picked the team so of course it's his fault". Lennon can only do so much - as soon as the players hit the field it's up to them to perform. If we blame Lennon just because he's the manager then it would be like blaming him for Majstorovic getting sent off. I mean, Lennon picked Maj to play tonight so does it make it his fault we went down to 10 men? No, it was MAJSTOROVIC'S fault.

Going through nights like this and days like Sunday, some people tend to forget that he also picked the team that dominated Hun FC in the majority of last seasons games against them; he picked the team that got us the Scottish Cup; picked the team that finished with 92 points in his first full rookie season. Yeh we won "only" the Scottish Cup but some people need to take a step back and look at the bigger picture in that Lennon came extremely close to winning the treble in his first full season. We got beat by a ONE goal difference in the CIS Cup Final and by ONE point in the league. I KNOW that almost doesn't win anything but, like I say, look at the bigger picture. Unfortunately, all that seems to go right out the window as soon as a bad patch happens and for some people to call for him to go is *' ridiculous.

Yeh he's made mistakes, of course he has - name one manager that has never made any crucial mistakes in their career's. Every manager has tactically * up at different stages in their career's but learning from them can be the difference in making it or failing miserably and as long as Lennon learns from the mistakes that is the main thing.

For me, Lennon needs to learn how to change tactics on the spur of the moment. For instance, tonight there would have been a game plan all set out and they would have prepared for the game in a certain way, but as soon as Majstorovic was sent off after only 42 seconds that WHOLE game plan was chucked out the window and a new one, there and then, needed to be thought up. In my opinion it's really only this area where Lennon shows his rookie flaws BUT given the time I'm sure he will become much better at changing things around.

It's times like this that Lennon and the team need the support more than ever, to pull them through tough patches. It's easy to be like the orcs and only sing when you're winning but it's a totally different class to show total support when going through a rough patch.

I'd like to think that we ARE that different class.

i realise lenny had a lot on his plate last year and what he went through no-one should have to suffer, however lets get down to whats happening on the park, mabe im getting this wrong but is the manager not in control of who leaves and joins? lennon has,nt said anything about the board not backing him ,in fact he said that foster was his top target , we,ve had a very inactive pre-season as far as buying is concerned and very inactive as towards selling or loaning the dead wood barr murphy. i like lenny ,but judge him on what silverware he picks up and what he does in the spl, europe not on the fact that there are morons in scotland and ireland that want to hurt him im afraid that is a totally seperate issue to footballing matters..

we all want lenny to succeed and he will have to take the good with the bad.he has been shocking with tactics, substitutions and players badly out of position,i also really worry that lenny cant motivate these players we seem mentally weak.this board have been shocking tho

    Impressive post original poster.

From what I can tell, the majority of us were saying Europe would be good for players development but the league was the most important prior to yesterday. But we have a bad result or two and suddenly it's * Lennon, * this * league, * the board........

With the players we have we are grossly under performing, players like samaras can play far better than what he is showing, there is imo a lack of man management going on, look at zaluska how will he be feeling after playing the first few games and not making any mistakes to be dropped for forster who just signs on loan his confidence will be away to *.
then theres stokes top scorer dropped for an unfit hooper, same as zaluska confidence will be away to *. ill not be surprised if stokes, zaluska will be asking for moves with the way they are treated.

If lennon sorts out his man management (along with some other minor things)then he will become a good manager.

Couldn`t have a go at the tactics of the manager, was pleased that we didn`t resort to taking off the 2 strikers after the sending off. Individuals let us and themselves down.

Off topic point what the * was Brian Little talking about, seriously bursting ma * with his pish last night.

the situation is this, we will be playing catch up all year, now if that cant change you opinion, well i am sorry, as you are going to be very up set with your own judgment, when it goes * up, we are about as good as keeping hold of second place, but dont be suprised if its 3 place we scrape for. at the end of the year.

I like Lenny and want him as manager but last night showed that there is still alot of improvement needed when it comes to bigger games.

I was impressed to see him stick with the 2 strikers on the park when we went down to 10 men because at the end of the day, we needed to score but anyone couldve seen that with half an hour to go or even after Sion's second goal we needed fresh legs on the park, combining the heat and the fact we spent alot of time chasing the ball. Frustratingly though it didn't happen until Kayal picked up his injury which was just too late.

I also go back to the LC Final last season, Sammy up top obviously worked at Ibrox in january but a manager like Walter Smith is going to click very quickly onto what Lennon wouldve done and Lenny didnt have anything else up his sleeve.

Times like that and last night are all learning curves for a young manager but when it's Celtic there can't be many more learning curves.

ILWT BUT to be fair the fact he has been sent bombs does not excuse the fact he waited until 3 minutes to go to put Commons on, and subbed off Kayal (Celtic's ONLY quality player without Izzy) instead of Sammy, Ledley, Broony, or * anyone else.
I blame the players at any side if they lose because at the end of the day it is the players out there not the manager on the park but Lenny tactically, particularly substitute wise has been a bit poor recently.

Simply not fair to judge to harshly or call for his head based on Europe. The SPL is what we need to win.

The manner of our performances have hopefully brought a lot of people back down to earth. Has been amazing how highly we have been valuing our players, Ki etc, and then last night shows us that perhaps we are a little wide of the mark.

Problem Lennon has now is building morale and confidence to get a win on Sunday.

Reinforcements are also needed. The team lacks both quality and a bit of backbone.

All he needed was a centre half, a goalie and a decent striker to strengthen the team - he has failed to do that over the summer and that annoys me - Stevie Wonder could see that Majotsrogvic (or whatever he is called) is not good enough and never will be.
