    its bizare

iv never called for him to be sacked but for some to go on here and 'oh lets get behind the team in lennon we trust' is fair enough, but if they cant see the other side of the coin after a week like that then gold help them, nieve would be the word

and thats all it takes, a week, it took us a game to lose the league last season and this week has been shocking

beat rangers in a few weeks and it will be all rosy again. thats football

yes going out to no more than a pub side should be a sacking imo hes had enough time brought in the players he wanted etc. if it was anyone else but lennon the people defending him wouldnt be. lets just say gary neville who retired last year came in and we went out early last year of europe lost the league to an average hun side then got put out of europe by a pub tem this season. what would be the reaction ? the reaction would be its a to big job for a managers first job he isnt experianced enough etc and they would be right but because lennon loves the club (and he does) we seem to accept it more. listen i love the club but if i had never managed a team before in my life and had the same results as lennon id be shown the door. and quite rightly.

surly you must see where im coming from mate ?

He's not immune from criticism, and he has made mistakes. I think everyone can see that. However he took over under exceptional and trying circumstances and galvanised a side last season that was full of players hardly anyone had heard of. No-one can honestly have expected him at the start of the season to have done as well as he has.

Its not fair to judge him in Europe, tactics or not. Regardless of who he picked, that all went out the window with the sending off. And to be brutally honest, Europe isnt a benchmark. Winning the SPL is. That is where he will be judged. We came so close last season and the expectation is that we will go that one step further.

The side at the moment has stagnated since the end of last season and needs a few players brought in, not just for the side, but for us , the fans to get excited about.

I firmly believe that Neil is the right man for the job. There was always going to come a day when his leadership was tested, the next few games will see how he copes with it.

Come May this will all be forgotten.

He should be judged on the league this season but by him leaving we would be paying him compensation, searching who knows how long for the right guy and then you have the problem of this guy wanting his own players and changing the team and formation halfway through the season as the transfer window will be shut by the time he arrives. Another transition period in other words.

Lennon should be given the chance to win the league but if he fails then his position as manager will be under threat. Making him walk now will not help the team at all. Late August is not the right time to get rid of our manager.

    I'm 100% behind the manager.

Not many teams would go into a second leg needing a win or score draw with ten men after 1 minute and end up going through.

Hysteria seems to set in when Celtic either drop points or go out of a competition.

Lets just get behind Lennon and the team and get our season on track. The title is what we all want if we're honest, so lets just go for that and see where we are afterwards.

If we don't win the league, then we can debate whether or not Lennon should keep his job.

Until then, I'm with Lennon for the fight.

had he been given the money to strengthen the team we wouldn't be in this position imo, instead he's been left with pennies and we've suffered

I stand behind Lenny, but he needs to start learning from the mistakes he's making - something which he looks like he's not doing. Everytime its crunch time, we bottle it, we play defensive * tactics with players who are not good enough to pull on the jersey.

Tbh nobody knows who the * is to blame , only a few years back the best in europe came to celtic park and more often than not they went away empty handed nowadays any pish can take care of us without a whimper , we,re physically and mentally weak all i ask of lenny is he calls it like it is and publicly challenges the board to get better quality in and not tow the party line because no matter how much they try and spin it our team is nowhere near celtic class !!

So even if Lennon is a * manager who can never win anything he should never get the sack? Bollox to that. If Lennon gets the sack it'll be because of results against Ross county, Braga, Utrect, Sion and he lost the CIS Cup Final and SPL to Rangers. Lennon either wins the SPL this season or he better get * sacked!

Its not fair also that he feels his best option in Europe is to play Samaras up front, who it cant argued anymore just isnt good enough. He needs to be able to get in someone who genuinely competes with Stokes and Hooper for the front spots

In order for a manager to be allowed sufficient time to make his own stamp on a team takes 3 years.

One year to bring in your own players and get the team playing your style of football.

Another to make the necessary tweaks and adjustments that see things improve.

    The third to win!

And as for comparing Neil Lennon to gary neville?!?!?!? *?!?!?!?! Lenny knows the club, the fans, the team, the expectation, everything! THAT's why he deserves a shot at being manager!

Constant change and instability will get us nowhere!

Go sleep on it, wake up tomorrow, feel differently and come back and post again!

If your tune hasn't changed I would suggest you take the bus to work, as you're clearly not sober enough to drive!

here some of the sad stories coming out now, we have lost yes and there is going to be more, this ain't just a blip this is a fact, we have been asking for a good quality player for how long, Lennon knows this too unless he has nothing between the ears also, let him get it sorted or hes history.

What can he do without the funds to bring such a player(s) into the club???

Also we play in the spl - how many quality players really want to play up here???

    Get real!!!
