And if he didn't state the truth, people would be on his back about that too.

It really is a no win situation.

I can't help but feel people are really nit picking at everything now because we've had a couple of poor results.

People complain when Strachan handles the press a certain way and isn't honest in his assessment of the team & players after dropping points. Now that Lenny is being brutally honest you don't like that either?!?!?!?!?

    Jeezo!

This is the best possible thing for the players - yes they hear it in the dressing room and think - 'the gaffer's just going off on one because we get beat, he'll calm down and we'll be ok...'

We don't need that sort of mindset - so this is the best thing as the players open the paper this morning and think 'oh ffs, he wasn't joking and I'm playing for future'

Fans need to make up their mind though - it's either 'the team were great, gave it their all, we were unlucky, etc, etc' or it's 'we were crap, not good enough, some players need to take a look at themselves, the fans deserve better, etc, etc'

I know which one I prefer!

    Only one Neil Lennon!

He's not singled out individuals! If anything he's blamed the team which is what should happen! The performance was terrible! no drive or anything and that's what he's come out and said! i was happy to hear it in my opinion!

    Hail Hail

We have had a few games like this especially involving fringe players who are always asking for game time then they basically play *.. TBH i back lennon coming out and ridiculing the team.. they need to understand it's just not good enough.

Lennon and the fans demand a standard..not even that but just some passion.

Anyway, although peeved at a home lose,am not going to lose sleep over it. It's early in the season and we have players coming back and perhaps some joining so if a bad patch is to come at any time i'm ok for it to come now than later.

They need a * good kick up the *. Drawing with Sion at home and then losing to St Johnstone at home ffs

Another thing, I'm not saying the players shouldn't have a private life but when you play for Celtic and you are giving us results like that... Less time in Nando's and more time in Lennoxtown.

Lennon's inexperience seems to be showing itself more by the day.

Never seen a manager with an ounce of respect slate his team in public. There can only be negatives from doing that, no benefits. Lennon should know this.

Bring the thunder back lenny? Aye my face is like thunder right now

I feel it's right to do it because when your team plays as bad as we did they deserve to be slated in public. Just hope it doesn't upset the dressing room.

Are you * kidding me? I can't really say anymore about your post or I would resort to insults. That's how angry this ideology makes.:47::47:

But Faithful through and through..........right? You type will still be saying that when Rangers lift the league up again. And believe me, you aren't any better of a fan, in my opinion a worse one than me because you don't demand something to be done to help our team that is in great danger of losing the league again.

he better not start that crap we know what the team is like, and its about time
he reilizes, we do know, a * team when we see it, the middle of the park has nothing to offer, left with strikers that cant come to meet together, play miles
apart they are out as wide as the wing backs at times, scared to mix it maloney if this * could aim for the far side of goal when shooting just maybe his shots would go in between the goals, i have never seen a player like him with so many shot dragged wide. dump him of no use in the team ,lennon better get this sorted
as 4 in a row looks more of a go-er each week, dont give this * its only one game,
its only one point, its games like these that * us up most times, are we the most unluckyest fans in scotland, we must be the * dumbest putting up with
this * paying good money, but shopping in the penny trays, get 2 good players in to stop the rot, then worry about replacing them next year. issue more shares any * thing.

    Grand old team
I dont give a * what the players will be thinking of Lennon`s outburst.
If any of them had the same desire as him when he played we would have got the right result. These players pick up there 10 - 20k a week even if they win lose or draw. Lennon was probably letting us the fans know that this wont be tolerated or we`d be better just saying to that lot here`s your 4 in a row. The players should realise how lucky they are being at our club. a good few of our supporters would give their right arm to play and prob show more commitment than some of this shower who are not fit to wear the hoops. If they dont like being bad mouthed then they can * off to another club and pick up wages for Hiding in another team.

Lenny was speaking out not just as a Manager, but as a Fan. Hes as p***ed off as we are !!. He slated the team, different if he blamed the loss on any individual player.

I think the reason he mentions it in interview is due to the reaction of the fans. I prefer that it wouldn`t happen in public but he has to be pro-active in regards to the current fan situation.

I'm pretty * off that he singled out Paddy and young Forrest! Now I'm not one of Paddy's biggest fans, but neither he nor Forrest deserved to be named as having flopped given that it was others who had placed the team in such a *-storm in the first place!
