This match is massive for us, another early exit from Europe would be demoralising, however if we could get a result it would be a great morale booster for everyone :shamrock:

    I'm not picky.
The players. The manager can only do so much until they players are on the pitch then it's over to them. Lennon would take some of the responsibility, and he would be the first person to admit it because he's the one who picks the team BUT it's not like he's out there playing along with them so it's down to the players on the park. Blaming him totally would be like blaming him for Commons missing the penalty today.

I don't think he should go even IF we don't win the league this season. We cannot keep changing manager every season or every other season. You keep chopping and changing things then how can things settle? Chelski do it practically every season - they have had 8 managers (including their current one) since 2000. Newcastle are pretty much doing the same and they have had 12 managers (including stand in managers) since 1999! Look how well THEY are doing.

I've mentioned it before as well - Sir Alex Ferguson never won the league in his first SIX years in charge at Man Utd and this is a club - until they won it in the 93/94 season - had gone 25 years previously without a league title. They all stuck by him and look at him and the team now, 25 years later.

In total, Lennon hasn't even had one and a half seasons (of serious competition football) under his belt. He took charge of the team at the end of March last year, had last season and this season is only a month under way. To me that's nowhere near enough time for a ROOKIE manager, especially as he had to practically re-build the team last summer.

It would be different if we had had a month or two of results like this but it's only a month into the season for * sake and already the question of "Should he do the honourable thing?" has been posed already :87:

Is it really "in Lennon we trust" for some people because it doesn't seem that way to me.

No chance. As disgusted as I am with today Lennon showed very well in his first full season as our boss and I believe he will get it right.
Quite frankly after where we were when he took over and what he has accomplished so far I am shocked this thread even exists.

Bit harsh there isnt it? Give him a * chance. If the funds were released by our scrounging board Ive no doubt that Lennon can spot a player or two.Izzy, Kayal and the centre half Wilson looks like hes got the minerals:50:

Im confident we will progress. Lennon knows what to do. Drop that selfish wee * up front Stokes and replace him with Samaras. You might question that but there absolutely no hope in * stokes can compete away from home in Europe. We need a presence and somebody who can hold the ball up. I know Big Sammy will do the business and ram it down your throats, once again. Go on son.

I still believe in Samaras. He just needs a bit of support from the fans and less abuse from all those fickle so called fans. He also needs a decent strike partner that isn't in it for themselves. I'm absolutely astounded by the support anthony stokes receives on here. The guy is a minging kris boyd.

I know Samaras has it in him.He * all over der hun at ibrox. But (and its a big but) he doesnt do it often enough. Stokes is decent, nothing more, nothing less. We're full of mediocre players. Why dont we make an audacious bid for Santa Cruz from City?? They dont want him. Hed score 50 up here.:shamrock:

In my eyes if we don't gamble we are out of Europe. It's not going to work with stokes up there on his own/ or stokes with samaras/or stokes out left. The problem, lies with Stokes. We will need more of a presence up front and Lennon has to convey a sense of urgency to the team on thursday. If we just go for a stroll then it's over.

The main object is not losing the game and we are capable of that its all about scoring first then that team has to attack and we can take full advantage of that....

Gotta say greenstatus, from your previous posts, you just seem like another Lenny bagger, or is this your anti-Irish bias coming through?

If we lose, and Lenny does the "honourable thing", (whatever you think that is), how does that help the club?
FFS under tremendous pressure, (football and non related), that he deals with exceptionally - he turned the club around from a shambles, with a minimal budget, bought well, made 2 finals in his first full year, missed the league title by a bees *.

We've had one bad week, and people want his scalp. :31:
    * me. :rolleyes:
Yes, we need to go long into Europe, yes more depth would be nice, getting rid of the manager isn't going to help that.

We've also got Izzy, Kayal and Hooper laid up - or is this Lennys fault too?

the honourable thing would be for the board to get lennon the $$$ he deserves to get better players in. so, the team can advance further in europe and win the league this year.

Gordon Strachan's lost 5-0 to an unknown team in europe, then drew against motherwell the next game, he went on to win three in a row. How can you say that Sion are a second rate Swiss team? It is attitude's like this, underminding our opponents, thinking we should canter the game because its a " second rate " team. They are in the same qualifier as us, does that make us a second rate scottish team to them??

This thread is an absolute joke! To say that Lenny, after all he has done for celtic since he came in for Mowbray, should leave beacuse of two dodgy games must be a wind up!!

    IN LENNY WE TRUST!!

No. Lennon's main objective is to win the league this year, he'll still get his chance to do that.

It is a crucial game no doubt. There is every chance it will dictate who or who we don't sign.
