Celtic did'nt look troubled at all and had most of the play ,on another maybe they could have scored 3-4 goals past them but not tonight.

Are we taliking about the same Ki that had a good world cup and so far this season has been our best player. :97: As for Sion there is no reason why we cant go there and get a result, we need to ditch the defensive line-up and go 4-4-2 and i would like to see the following.

    GK - Zaluska/Forster
    RB - Wilson/Cha
    CB - Wilson
    CB - Mulgrew
    LB - Matthews
    RM - Forrest
    CM - Ki
    CM - Ledley
    LM - Commons
    RS - Hooper
    LS - Stokes

Had our 3 best players out and it showed at times. The Swiss accomplished what they set out to do,park the bus. They'll have to be more attack minded in 2nd leg,we'll have our chances then.Hooper,Kayal and Wilson back next leg,get back to our 4-4-2.

If you look back, our record against Swiss sides is hardly impressive -Xamax,Zurich,Young Boys, Basle etc.

There was always the danger that we could underestimate this team as Swiss sides tend to be technically good. We are still in this tie and although it wasn't a great performance, we are still in with a shout.

It was a poor result, but not a woeful performance. I think we were unlucky not to score one, but we gave them nothing. We dominated possession and played with some style and class. I think we'll beat them at home. Just not the best effort by some of the players and I hope that we'll see a more focused side in Switzerland.

That certainly didn't help. Surprised no one has mentioned that as of yet. That "tackle" on Broony was horrendous. He could have been seriously injured receiving a flying knee to the chest like that. Seemed to throw him off his game for some time, as well.

I hope the officiating is more even for the next match.

tonight just highlighted than we are just an ordinary team that lacks leadership both

    on and off the pitch.

We certainly looked the better team Sion looked to be playing for a draw I expect us to go through still, and on a positive note about tonight it is always a good thing not to concede a away goal in the 1st leg :celt_2:

Aye right,we dominated the whole game,we always play better with more open playing teams, when a team play defensive like that we always struggle to score. Our 3 best players out injured,so was never going to be easy having players out of position.Cant believe people slating Lenny because we drew a home game,at least we kept a clean sheet, very important in Europe.

I thought it was a bit of a reality check. They certainly weren't mugs and their strikers looked lively. Without our very best assets available for selection we lacked any spark and showed we don't really have the best squad depth at the moment. I think we've done alright to get through this leg without conceding the dreaded away goal. Hopefully with a few of the big guns back for the next leg we can cause an upset, as i'd say they're favs now.

I'd take them getting punted out of the comp in a heartbeat.:50:
