Heres the highlights of our game last season in the cup where we beat St Johnstone 3-2, the quality of vid is pretty * but watch from 3:45 onwards & you'll see he can get to the low shots.

All in all it's a young team... Guys like Kayal and Izzaguire grew from unknowns to top class players... I would be willing to let Forster grow with them as well...

I think it's bizarre that some fans don't rate Forster, but then we do have fans who'd rather have the overweight uninterested liability Boruc of the last two seasons than him.

£2million is a steal, he could easily develop into a pretty expensive keeper in the future.

You serious? Boruc when he was with us was one of the best shot stoppers in the world. Fraser couldnt get near some of the things Artur saved.

The big guy grew on me over the course of the season but I still dunno. I never really felt like he was gonna pull out a big save when it mattered and he is very slow at getting down. But we could do a lot worse and for £2mil or so he's proven he's good enough for SPL.

44 appearances, 24 clean sheets, 21 SPL clean sheets & just 5 games where he allowed more than 1 goal in.

This is after he broke the League 1 record with Paul Lambert's Norwich in getting promoted the year before... If Goodwillie is supposedly worth £2m, Forster is easily the same.

Sign him up!! He did a fantastic job last season, and he's young. Strikers are judged on their goals scored, if he was a striker who put in 30 a season people on here would want him. Goalkeepers are also judged on performance, as said, 24 clean sheets out of 44 is not a bad return is it?

I think people just say he's too slow as he's a giant.

I cant remember a single time he was too slow to do anything? :97:

Zaluska is as stiff as * but no one ever mentions it, far less agile than Forster.

Get him signed. Not many keepers of his age and relative inexperience are as good as him.

Get the big guy back up here with the bhoys, easily worth £2million, young keeper with loads of potential and no settling in period needed, no brainer!!

Yeah good, get him signed up. He was good last yr for his age and experience. He can only get better. And to say he has slow reactions, cant remember the team we played but he pulled us out the crap a few times one in particular when the ball was deflected and he had to get down really quickly. For a big guy he is quick enough. His kicking will get better and area command also.

he's not good enough in my view, doesnt talk to his defence and seems to stay rooted on his line when crosses come in. We need an experienced dominating keeper to keep the defence on their toes.

off the top of my head: The 2 Cup Final goals against them, Inverness away in the cup for the penalty, Rangers in the Scottish cup at Ibrox for the penalty etc..

For me he is a good shot-stopper and, for a reasonable price, he would be a good signing but I don't think we should pay more than 1.5mil for him. He has potential though.

he will do, hes right age, and after all set a record (aswell as whole team) last year. i wouldnt feel to bad if we signed him.

then onwards and upwards to sign a forward and more importanlt a central defender!!!!

Westwood would have been my first choice. Either that or Gordon, but injuries with him at too much of an issue.

Forster has the potential. We can all see his flaws easily (kicking, not dominant enough at set plays and possibly getting down to the ball sometimes) so I imagine the coaching team can see these too.

If we were to sign him then I'm sure they'll have him working on these. Hes young so has plenty of time to get this sorted.

Having said that I don't think he's going to be much use outside the SPL this season because of the flaws mentioned above.

Ideally I'd want Given for the first 6 months of the season for Europe and have Forster as back up, but thats not going to happen.
