Paddy Mc Court - Cant help but feel sorry for him

The way I see it, McCourt is competing for the spot in the team that is currently held by Kris Commons. Now, Commons hasn't been at his best in the first 2 games of the season so there is a fair argument for putting Paddy in the team on Saturday.

But overall if I had to choose between Kris Commons or Paddy McCourt, I would choose Commons.

 

Was it not coaches and teammates of Paddy that confirmed his smoking/drinking habits? Still, if Prosinečki could burn 50 cigarettes per day, and play superbly despite that, so can Paddy.

 

i think Forrest has even jumped ahead of McCourt in the queue to compete with Commons on the left.

seriously think this is Forrest's year to prove himself and push Brown and Commons.

 

Saw his second goal from last night, typical McCourt magic.

I don't see the point in selling him, he's probably not on high wages and certainly isn't priority on selling list. So he's not a burden financially.

He can often be difference between one point and all three when we're playing vs St. Mirren, Kilmarnock etc. which can prove to be vital when looking at the table in May. And I think he's capable of doing it against better teams, it's just that he didn't have a chance to play against such opposition.

Keep Paddy, he's an important player.

 

So do i, you'd swear that all these so called bigger clubs had amazing defenders, i'd love to see him get a full game against Italy.
On the smoking front, i heard that in his youth player days, Man U were after him but heard that he was partial to the odd joint! I'd believe that,he looks like a stoner surfer dude type. Also, on Stephen Kenny's first training session with Derry, Paddy apparently turned up eating a bag of chips, gotta love him though!:icon_mrgreen:

 

Id like to see him against quality defenders too as he'd still skin them, its almost impossible to tackle him as his ball control is so good.

 

just heard that after his wonder goal for northern ireland last night, hundreds of northern ireland fans have asked for their bullets back, and could he sign them.

 

oh bhoy . could,nt put it better myself the man is a genius and should play more, our most skilful entertaining player by a mile .

doesnt get the chance to be consistent,other players get loads more chances and give the team less

 

of course he's had his chances. he's had three years and three different managers and has failed to impress that much for a first team spot.

give the team less? i think others give the team more balance.

a lot of players have been hounded out of Parkhead for a lot less.
