If Lennon doesn't deliver the title this season...

Will you want him to go?

Personally, I don't think he has any excuses this year. He is up against a rookie manager in Fat Sally and has had the chance to build his own team. If he doesnt win the league but we go on a run in europe I would want him to stay. However as much as I love him I dont think I could take the huns winning 4 in a row abd european dissappointment 2 years in a row thus I think a change would be needed.

I would hate another season of rebuilding.

 

If he fails to win the league once again he would have to go.

Not going to happen but he will stay no matter what unless he walked can not see Peter or DD sacking him.

 

I would only be worried if walter was still in charge. but fat sally winning the title in his 1st year? yer having a giraffe

the only thing fat sally has a chance of winning is his unfair dismissmal case. mind you going by his recent results he might get shafted with that anaw.

For me it would depend entirely on the circumstances and performances in all competitions.

 

He has to walk and will walk if the title isn't delivered.

 

If we don't win anything I would still want Lenny as manager next season. No better man for the job IMO. Loves the club and will do more for the club than any other potential manager would. Plus I know if we were in the hunt for anew manager we would end up with someone like Mark McGhee. Can't think of anyone better to get the team going and give the half time team talks than Lenny himself.

I completely agree. Why sack Lenny just to get another Mowbray in? Back Lennon all the way, if we don't win the league, I'd blame the players (for losing to Inverness away) again!
But it's a pointless discussion imo. We WILL win the league this season and if we don't, then I can't see us ever winning it because this is the easiest year to compete for it - useless manager at R*ngers, we have; the best footballing team by a mile in the league, best depth squad in the league, most passionate manager and players in the league, and a team and manager with experience and determination behind them!

Lenny will walk away himself if we do not win. He knows he has to deliver this year

 

We need time and consistency and can't keep doing the Real Madrid's, Man City's & Chelsea's of going through a manager every year to two years.

I wouldn't want him to go. We would have to go through the re-building process again and it would just be a case of going in circles - we don't win the league, we get someone in, then the rebuilding starts again, then if we don't win the league again, we get someone else in, the rebuilding starts again. I think we need to stick by him no matter what. I mentioned in another post that Man Utd didn't win their first title in Ferguson's first six years in charge but they stuck with him and now look at him - 25 years on he's still there.

Lennon has said himself that he needs to deliver yeh, but no one knows more than him on what has to be done, but he has the passion, the heart and the desire to win, is a Celtic man through and through and knows that we need to get the title back to where it belongs. We can't say things like "In Lennon we trust" then want someone else in if he doesn't deliver this season because that would just make us like the huns - hypocrites.

I think we should stick by him and give him the backing he deserves even IF he doesn't get the title back to Paradise this year. The team is forming well, the team is settling well and playing well together. Bringing in a new manager if he doesn't deliver will just cause unrest and we'll be back to square one.

 

think the world of lenny and if we lose the league again?(* off ) then he will have to go i think. dont want that to happen but 4 in a row from these * just numbs me to the core thinking about it tbh.

 

Lennon is here to stay because the league is gonna be won and along with a cup or two and also a good run in the Europa league

We have built a good squad and have a great chance of winning the league. If we dont then why would we send ourselves back to square one? That is totally pointless.

I want Lenny here for years to come and am 100% behind him. We will be gutted if we dont win it but he is doing a good job and as has been mentioned, look at Alex Ferguson.
