i dont see whats wrong with playing 1st team players in a friendly its getting them match sharpness. thats what the friendlies are for, we need them match sharp if we are to take spl title back and do well in europe, they are after all * football players thats what they get paid for, players have more chance of getting injured on a nite out on the *. and if lenny was really worried about players getting injured he wouldnt have full contact training sessions etc

as for commons, a knock is nothing major, thats the least of any managers worries.

    hail hail:shamrock:

So what Lennys done is made the toe injury worse? Should have been rested tonight, maybe giving a run out on Sunday, do you not think that makes more sense mate? IMO

..as far as im concerned its like a player that gets injured mid season then he gets a run out in a bounce game or a reserve game to test his fitness ...You wouldnt have given him a run out in a competitive game as he may have broken down after 10 mins , so i feel Lenny was right to play him tonight ..However i respect your opinion on this :shamrock:

I dont blame him for playing some of our first team, i mean its good for them to get playing time, to be match fit, we have euro qualifiers coming up! hope its no serious though.

What we have to remember is our pre-season was shorter this season due to the early league start so alot of our players will still be looking for that extra bit of sharpness, these games will help build that and I'm all for it considering we obviously want a strong start to the league campaign and also in europe.

Mulgrew at left mid if he fails to make it, put them to the sword with his delivery :50:

Has had a problem with his toe for a while now. Must just not be clearing up as expected. Wouldn't worry too much.

I was a big fan of Juarez too. But Wanyama displayed signs of class during the Dublin Super Cup (very skilful and with a brain to match).
