    Peterborough are considering a move for Celtic defender Josh Thompson, skysports.com understands.
    A host of clubs are chasing central defender Thompson, who is available on loan from Celtic.[​IMG]
    Now sources close to Celtic have confirmed to skysports.com that Peterborough have made enquires about Thompson.
    However, Peterborough do have competition for his signature with the likes of Doncaster and Scunthorpe also thought to be interested.

    Would be good to send him out on loan again. Think he was thrown in at the deep end under Mowbray which was unfair on the lad. Not many centre backs get 1st team football at such a young age especially at big clubs looking to win league titles.

    I think everyone is too harsh on this lad. Was still just potential when he was thrown into a * side for us. Scored a good few goals too. Send him out on loan for a year and see how he does.

    I thought he was ok when he played in the first team. Only 18 or something as well. gOOd luck to him and hope he comes back a better player

    Very true, he never done anything wrong, for an 18 year old to be thrown at the deep end the way he was he done very well, still has alot of potential, hope he goes on loan and does well and comes back a better player

    Josh Thompson was thrown in under the abomination that was TM. At 18 he did a sterling job and didnt let himself or the club down. Disgrace to tell him to * off.

    He may not be ready for a regular first team start at the minute, but looks like he will develop into a decent centre back in the future. Some fans need to have a good look at themselves on here. Given the modest wage he will be on he is definitely a young player we should look to hold onto. Centre backs dont mature until later in years. A good loan spell would suit the lad, however, if he gets transferred then good luck to him.

    I agree with the sensible people send him on loan and get him experience did ok when called upon and could do a job for us in time
