too many to choose a favourite, der all smashin!

Am confident after loan spells both juarez and mcginn will be sellable stock, might even get a pretty penny for juarez. McGinn will be little more than a token payment no doubt. As for odea, isnt this his 3 loan spell, with the previous two being pretty poor? Will be stuck with him for a while. I think if we loaned out loovens before he got injured we could maybe sell him for a round £1M if we was lucky!

As with most squads up and down the country we have a few gems, a few journeymen and a few hangers on. The problem we have is that the ones we want to sell, no-one wants, and the ones we want to keep are the ones creating interest elsewhere.

Its a neat trick to spend as little as possible and end up with a squad that can win the title and do well in Europe.

The fact that Neil has not only built the foundations of a solid club, but he has the walls up and the roof on, is incredible in such a short time. The fact he has done it with such a relatively small budget is miraculous.

To continue the analogy, the house needs to be finished. No point in doing all that work and not fit the doors and windows. In this case, that would be the players we require to bring us success. A goalkeeper, which has been a key area for some weeks now. A trialist is not going to work. The board simply need to address this financially. Im sure Neil knows who he wants and Lawell and co need to back him.

A striker is secondary, last season when Stooper wasnt scoring then no-one was. We need a third to take the pressure off. I know Commons has been sensational, but we do need that 3rd striker.

The Centre Back area is still not settled. Wilson looks a welcome addition but there is still uncertainty about who will play alongside him. Loovens, Hooiveld, Rogne and the rejuvenated Mulgrew are all still vying for the spot. An ideal solution may be to move on a couple and bring one in. However, if we can get in a solid keeper that may resolve the defence a little bit.

This is a crossroads for us just now. I firmly believe that. The Orcs are on their knees, financially and now spiritually with the defeat to Mhalmo. If our board is ambitious enough, and brave enough to give Neil solid financial backing to bring in the quality required, we may go on to not only have a great season, but to get us back being the dominant force in Scottish football again.

Peter Lawell indirectly promised us 2/3 quality players in June.

    Time to deliver Pete.

They are trying the dice again, what happend to the last gamble, blew up in thier faces with WGS, maybe they think wee fat sally might not be up to it????

This team should have been sorted out by now, with players ready for us in Europe, now we go to Aberdeen without a decent GK, and now we get beat off teams from England,Wales, Austraila and Italy ha ha and some post say who should we get in Europe!!!!!:47:

TBH I feel the same, we talk about this every transfer window and we almost always end up getting let down with lack of investment.

This. We've got roughly a squad of about 30 players, 5 must get moved on. And some are on good wages (between 10-15k). Need to free up wages to get in some players. But, we should bring in a goalie regardless.
Think we might see that happen soon

We certainly need a keeper but who is out there to be purchased who is a decent keeper? I think the Polish guy might be OK but we still have just over 3 weeks to find the answer - and I'm not even mentioning a striker!!!!

    Hi how you doin'
I was working in Edinburgh the other day and got talking with a Jambo fan i know..he said he was surprised that we haven't moved for Craig Gordon who i thought was unfit but he assured me that he was back in training again.I reckon he could do a job for us but i suppose it depends on how much Sunderland would want.
    What do you think?

Not supposed to be back proper until October. I would love Gordon here, great keeper. Maybe get him signed up on a pre contract. In his final year
