    Why is the Celtic player (4th from the left)doing one of those pretending he is kissing somebody moves? :97:

    Best is the best ever Irish player.

    Keane is a *....good player but a * none the less.

    Liam Brady was a far more accomplished player than Keane IMO. He had a tremendous amount of skill. Truly world class!

    Keane was excellent too, but less skillfull and inventive than Brady

    IMO Irwin was no better than a decent full back. Can't believe you hold him in the same level as Keane, Brady, Rogan, etc.

    I voted yes but if I knew Best was being counted then I would have voted no. I thought it meant ROI players only!

    As great as Roy Keane was I would not say he was Ireland's greatest ever player. World class at his peak yes but greatest no. I would say George Best, Paul McGrath and Liam Brady were ahead of him. I think a strong argument could be made for Pat Jennings as well. For me our best player all time was Paul McGrath.

    He is the only player ever to come from these isles that IS in the elite.
    Dalglish, Charlton, Banks, Matthews, Law, Keane, Keegan et all..........all second tier.

    funny since he publicly said many times he wanted to play for a United Ireland team, and did play for a team made up of the best players in the north and the south in a number of friendlies, he also was interviewed while wearing the hoops once.

    He also said if he wasn't a pro footballer he would be at home stoning the fenians. Great player though and is without doubt the greatest ever Irish footballer
