Just back from the avviva ,

We are not even headlining tomrrow,

But if we we were not involved in the tournament the attendance would have been less than 3,000 to-day , I am serious there is no future without us unless Manu join

Your right, Man United would make it more interesting, it would bring all the glory hunting * from dublin and then more celtic fans would be interested just to see us play them

I agree that if a team like United or Liverpool were involved more fans would be interested and I for one would seriously considering travelling to Dublin to watch Celtic v United

It would make a better tournament than the current one with City anyway

BTW Celtic fan's were immense , There was 4 different core location's and all were outstanding , I was proud to bring my 7 yr to his first game ,

Also On the way out i met 5-6 Man * fans and told them in uncertain terms that their support was a joke and that the could play Inter on the back pitch (Training/Warmup pitch behind the west Stand) as the stadium was wasted on them.

If we aren't there won't be much of a crowd, I seen about 30 Man City fans at the far end of the ground and that was it.

To be honest, this tourney does nothing for me. Watched the first half in town and had to head home. Dont think I missed much. Only good to come out of it is its allowed Neil to tinker with the team and see who is up for the challenge and who isnt.

    Sammy - no
Maloney - no (sadly, I like the wee guy, but he was out of sorts)
    Zaluska - no
Loovens - no, not sure why Neil is persisting with him when Mulgrew has been in excellent form and looks a good partner for Wilson.

Scott Brown probably should be looking over his shoulder as well. With Commons, Kayal, Ledley and no Ki showing good form he needs to cut out the snarling aggression and concentrate on his game.

WIth the current recession its hardly surprising that there wasnt a massive support their. I was over in Donegal in June and I seen more Arsenal, Liverpool and Man Utd shirts than Celtic ones. Even in the papers the talk was all about the EPL. This would suggest our support in Eire isnt as big as these clubs.

Not sure if your joking mate. You really think Loovens is a good bet at CB?? Mulgrew has looked our best player in pre season. With a stronger CB in Wilson beside him I think he would be a great player for us. Loovens is wooden and error prone.

    Agree with your second point.

im not surprised we arent headlining, lets face it, Man City and Inter were expected to win their first games, meaning giving them the final match would most likely be the decider of the tourny, which will make it an exciting game, in theory at least

Attendence was shocking. Thought it'd be a little higher than what it was. Our fans were superb as always though. :shamrock:
