    Ive watched Commons for years, as a Forest player etc, hes always been pretty heavy set, fitness was never his strongest point, he wont lose any weight.

    That really is the nub of my thread, I reckon Commons would be a much more productive and quicker player if he was encouraged to lose a bit of weight by our sport psysios. It is based on my observations of Kris Commons from last year, not just the Hib's game, and our game plan is built on possession football and quick release passes, and sharp and adept movement, and I think Commons is lacking there

    He was poor but i'm hoping it's just because he doesn't like playing on the right. To be fair though, I can imagine seeing Commons play as an outsider and thinking he was a very average player because he doesn't have great pace or skill - albeit he is very intelligent and links the play well. The thing that really drags his game up a level is his ability to plunder goals at any time. He can consistently score goals from half-chances and I've no doubt he'll be a key player this season when he returns to his favoured position.
